Okay, I was in Walmart today, needed milk & a few other items---not enough stuff to justify the 60 mile drive to a decent grocery store, the WM is just 5 mi. away.

So, you're saying that it was not practical and less economical to go to a grocery store, father away? OK. Let's file that away for a few moments.

I wandered into the aisle with canned fruit, a product which I hadn't bought for many years but I noticed 'fruit salad' which I liked as a kid and figured what the hell, I will just get a can for something different.

I'm already smelling bullshit.


Heading for the checkout, I decided to call home and ask my partner if we needed anything else while I was there. I mentioned the canned fruit and he said "be careful, I saw something on TV about that stuff coming from China"
I thought he was shitting me but I looked carefully at the label...and read "Product of Thailand"!!!

No, he probably shit you the night before...should probably take Metamucil the day before you engage in that sort of happiness.


So I went back and looked at a bunch of other varieties (the fruit salad was the WM store brand), here is what I found
(I actually purchased these & brought them home, not to eat but to research) items with UPC:

OF COURSE you're not going to eat them! Why, only uneducated hillbilly redneck fundie freaks actually EAT what they buy at WalMart!



GV Tropical fruit salad: 7874237124 Product of Thailand
GV Mandarin oranges: 7874209459 Product of China
GV Pineapple chunks: 7874236969 Product of Phillipines
Dole Pineapple chunks: 7874238090 Product of Republic of Phillipines
GV No Sugar added Mixed Fruits: 7874237061 NO Country of Origin on label!
I found a few others that I did not buy, from Mexico and Indonesia.

Now can anybody explain to me just how the hell it makes any kind of sense to import this stuff from Asia when we grow it in the USA????

Well, DUmmy, why did it make sense to go to WalMart instead of a grocery store? It was more economical? Can you maybe extend that a little?

14. Walmart was the only place open today who would put a new tires on my car on Memorial Day
   
after someone slashed my tires. Thank you Walmart and those working today so I could go to work today and tomorrow.

The ONLY places open here are Home Depot and Wally World. There is absolutely nothing else open except convenience stores. This asshat is full of shit sideways! Hell, even the liquor store is closed, which really pisses me off, since the Vets would like a re-fill! What a prick!

I can't hardly wait to see what they complain about after the economic collapse.

waaahhh, the shelves were bare and I didn't get my ration coupons on time... wwaahh... the price will double by the time they get another delivery of fruit.

of course, hopefully we will still have the internet

The DUmmie is worried about a fruit canned in China is the top commercial producer of that fruit (six times more than the second leading producer) and the nature of the fruit necessitates that the peeling and canning process occur quickly.  Stupid drama queen.

If any of the DUchebags worked they would know that Memorial day is one of the BIG SIX holidays that a large majority of small business honor.  The others being Labor Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. So most business will be shuttered DUmbasss. Only major corporations, convenience stores, and restaurants are open then.
