Why do I still experience periods of nearly blind rage towards the rethugs?
My beau, The Commie, says it's because they are acting like they are still in charge and that the are still arrogant in thinking they are right. I think my emotions are much more base than that. Do any of you feel this? Even on occasion?

Your a DUmmie liberalwitch.  Blind rage is all you have.

1. It's because the MSM and the Dems keep treating them like they're in charge.
And so, by default, they are.

I'm not sure what MSM this loser is watching, I guess I don't get those channels.

6. Which Dems are treating them like they're still in charge?

14. It would be far faster to list the ones who aren't.
Kucinich is on the short list. There's a couple others whose names I forget.

What's coming out of our Dem-controlled congress? Impeachment was off the table. Releasing torture photos is off the table. Limits on credit card interest rates are off the table. Single payer is off the table. Today we learn that Dems have refused to fund closing Guantanamo. 42/46 mountain top mining permits were just granted in WV. CEO pay caps are off the table. They're still debating the solvency of SS, as if the Dems hadn't won that battle recently.

Seriously, putting aside my own personal ire, if I was just presented with headlines, I wouldn't ever guess that the Dems control both houses of Congress and the presidency.

24. I still need help here. Can you name three Dems with specifics?
Because the reasons you listed can be easily dismissed as typical political compromise. That's nowhere near the same as proclaiming "the Republicans are still in charge".

There are certainly a handful of RINOs and bluedogs in our party, but can you name a real Democrat who acts like the Republicans are still in charge. I'm just not seeing it in black and white like you apparently do.

25. Why are we "compromising?" Only 20% of people identify as GOP.
This is exactly my point. The very fact that there is all this compromise going on, is the demonstration that the GOP continues to drive the debate.

Their ideas are exactly as bad as they have been for the last 30 years. There is no earthly reason to "compromise" with them, as if their ideas were legitimate, or even as if a large number of Americans agreed with them (bad as they are). Their ideas stink, and hardly anybody supports them.

But Congress, Obama, and the MSM continue to proclaim that compromising is important.

That's maddening, if you ask me.

28. Because that's how the American government is supposed to work.
Would I rather the Dems just ignore the Republicans? Of course, but we're up against 220 years of American history here. Ignoring the minority is what the Republicans did for 40 years, not because they're better than us or because they're right, but because they don't know jack about governing and they're assholes.

Remember when Obama said, "I'm everyone's president". IMO that is a very GOOD thing, and completely the opposite of what the Republicans believe.

7. Because they're loathesome, lying scum
Even if they're out of power, their behavior is so unbelievably arrogant and dishonest, the only reasonable reaction is rage.

The fact that the corporate media continue to ask "how high?" when they order "jump" doesn't help.

If you don't experience totally blind rage at them you aren't trying hard enough.

12. More than ever...
Not only did they... perhaps.... kill this country, but they have no remorse or sense of decency. The shit they continue to spew is an outrage, and only somebody like Jon Stewart... a fake news show, fer crissakes... seems to be able to see it or say anything about it.

I cought about two minutes of Medved yesterday. His guest was the Newt. According to those assholes, the Repubs won.

Maybe they did.

Your brain is that of a permanently frustrated child on a permanent sugar high?  :uhsure:
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

Uhmm....until 1994 it was the dems that controlled Congress for the 40 years noted except for a few years in the Senate during the early 80s.
That would pretty much describe how they treated the minority so at least that is right.

My uncle and I were just speaking of MSM bias this morning. I told him that many of the left-wing liberal lunatics view the MSM as being too far to the right. He looked at me like I was crazy and told me that the MSM was so far to the left that they would fall off of the earth if it was a square.

Primitives are naturally angry.  Now if they only knew how to channel that energy towards the party in charge instead of blaming the party who's in the minority.

So, when the Dems/libs were the minority was it wrong for them (and you) to be arrogant in thinking you were right?  See that's what happens when you operate in a blind rage, you constantly contradict yourself.

I'll go with mental illness for a thousand Alex.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Because you are still as powerless as a two year old in a playpen and you don't make any difference to anyone anywhere.
