"The Facts of Life" Cast: Then & Now

Our little Tootie (Kim Fields) turned 40 this week, and besides making us feel really, really old, this milestone got us wondering what the girls and the other personalities from Eastland Academy are up to these days. Here's the good and the bad on the cast from "The Facts Of Life."

Well, this certainly explains why she was never seen again around Hollyweird.

"The Facts Of Life" Cast: Then & Now

Lisa Whelchel: Now
After "Facts," ended, Lisa gave up acting. She did rejoin her castmates for the reunion special but now devotes her time to home-schooling her three children and meeting with members of her MomTime Ministries. She's also written 12 books, mostly on the subjects of parenting and Bible studies.

There was a character named Pippa McKenna ,played by Sherrie Krenn, who later changed her name to Sherrie Austin.

A couple Easters ago, my church rented a high school auditorium and she was the guest speaker, shes been back a couple time since then I'm told. (church in IL)

That's one show I never paid any attention to.  Most of my knowledge about the show comes from it being referenced in hindsight in other pop culture outlets.  For instance, I knew "Tootie" was black.

I saw her speak at a large Lutheran church here in the valley a couple of years ago. She was very funny. I really enjoyed it. She seems like a devoted mom and a strong woman of faith. I'm glad she's doing well for herself.

A friend of mine from school met Kim Fields on a cruise with his parents and dated her briefly while we were in high school.
She was SO nice.
