Pelosi-gate

Pelosi-gate, in a nutshell: What did one member of the minority party know about the majority party's illegal war crimes and when did she know it?

This has to be the stupidest "angle" I've ever seen to coverage of a major scandal. Are reporters really this dumb and gullible? To the extent Nancy Pelosi knew about the Bush administration's torture program and didn't raise objections, she deserves to be criticized. But there's a HUGE difference between ordering the commission of war crimes and simply being on notice that they may be occurring. On the list of culpable actors, of which there are many, the people who lacked the courage to protest are far down the list, particularly those like Nancy Pelosi who had no real say in what was going on (remember she was the minority leader; the Bush administration did not care what she thought about anything).

Finally, and this is worth emphasizing, Pelosi herself is calling for the creation of a Truth Commission, which presumably would explore what everyone knew and when. The level of hypocrisy and incoherence it takes for Republicans to point to Pelosi as being some sort of key figure in this scandal is astounding. And the fact that the press corps would latch on to this rather ridiculous diversion is telling.

1. The press corps knows exactly what they are doing...
They are playing the foil for the Republican Party. If indeed, Pelosi knew that crimes were committed, then perhaps the press can tell us what those crimes were?? Or what is the purpose of this little game they are playing??

5. I want everyone that knew about this and did nothing gone forever.
If that includes Pelosi and any other (so-called) Democrats then so be it. Everyone who kept their mouths shut is complicit in these atrocities. Frog march her out of the Capitol and send her to the Hague with the rest of them.

Lurking DUmmies take note...the reason we laugh at your stupidity is because of things like this.

Pelosi knew,as did many other members of Congress, exactly what was happening and they said nothing because there was nothing illegal with it.
Now they are simply trying to keep you lunatics on the plantation so your money keeps flowing to their reelection coffers.

There is nothing now or then to be considered "torture" or a "war crime".
Those are little inventions in your pea sized brains that are only for political revenge, the sort of thing the left has been known for decades to do.

Pelosi is guilty of stupidity by trying to appease you cretins while knowing full well there is nothing but concocted puffs of smoke you are all trying to grab on to.

Pelosi didn't know of any crimes being committed, because President Bush nor members of his administration committed any crimes.  We've been waiting for years for you DUmmies to provide any specific illegal actions by President Bush's administration.

And frankly, the next time the MSM plays foil for the GOP, it'll be the FIRST time, DUmmy.

There are probably another dozen threads over there mirroring this one.

The tide on this fight has turned. The question now is, "Why is Pelosi lying to our faces about something no serious person considers illegal?"

Right now with the focus being on Pelosi L'i 'O is skating but it may very well filter back to him being an idiot for opening this can of womrs in the first place. He's aready running around trying to keep the CIA and DoD from going into revolt. If there are any reversals in the fortunes of the wars and he will have earned himself a severe political ass-whuppin' for his shenanigans.

The interesting thing for me on this, is just when do the Dems recognize that if there is any danger to him, they go under the bus.  No questions.  Something comes up, they go down.

One of the real positives to the dems has been their capacity to circle the wagons on their own.  Clinton especially.

But Clinton didn't put anyone under the bus.  Vince Foster.. maybe... but he was a threat to lots more than just Clinton.  By and large, Clinton understood the concept of loyalty up, loyalty down.

Right now, they are giving 0bama lots of loyalty up, but their is no loyalty down.  He dumps folks before they even know there is a problem.   So I think real soon now, there is going to be a level of loyalty up equivalent to the loyalty down number.    And if things get rough, they will be willing to impeach him themselves.    Nancy I think understands this better than he does, so she has more backing now than he does.

This will be interesting
