Something's going on.

Quote
Pelosi turns down Sunday show invitations

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) turned down invitations to be on several Sunday morning talk shows and is instead spending the weekend with her family.

The Speaker was invited to appear on NBC's "Meet the Press,” ABC's "This Week,” “Fox News Sunday” and CNN’s “State of the Union,” according to sources at the networks.

One source said Pelosi (D-Calif.) will be attending her granddaughter's first communion in Phoenix on Sunday.

Pelosi's office confirmed she is with her family this weekend.....

She knows that she threw the fecal matter at the fan and now she is doing the "duck and cover" to avoid the blow back.  The grand daughter's first communion bit strikes me as just a little too convenient, but then I'm skeptical of most politicians.

She can only hide from her queenmakers in the media for so long.  Sooner or later she's going to have to account, both on the Hill and on Sunday talk shows.

Maybe she'll resign for "personal reasons".

My guess.....the media will quickly realize this is damaging to the socialist agenda and will soon circle the wagons to protect her as they have done so often in the past with Bubba and others.

She will lay low for a week or two and that will be that.

I don't think so.  Because the same media propagandists that have been fellating Der Fuhrer the slobberiest are the ones that are hanging Bella Pelosi out to dry, I tend to think that it's likely that Duh Fuhrer - or more likely Herr Emmanuel - are orchestrating this whole thing.

Why?

Above all, Lord Zero is an idealogue.  Invariably, one of the first things idealogues do in order to consolidate power, is to go through the ranks of their own party and cull out the idealogically impure.  It's a relatively inexpensive operation as measured in terms of political capital, and it had the advantage of making sure the remaining chior boys (and girls) are in absolute harmony, the next time Teh Messiahnfuhrer gives a Sermon on the Hill.

For reasons possibly knowable only to Teh Messiahnfuhrer, SanFran Nan has been weighed and measured on Teh Messiahnfuhrer's scales, and has been found wanting.  Next stop, the FEMA camps.

I respectfully disagree in this case.

I think she has become a political sacrifice. Because if the 'torture' issue dies with her, it won't move on to what Other Democrats may have known and when, including Obama.

So, Nancy knew about the 'torture'. She falls on her sword. Obama pushes the 'kill all torturers' agenda to the end of his to-do list, and then its all but forgotten.

I still respectfully disagree with both...this will be a nothing in short order just as Chinagate was turned around as a political weapon against Republicans in Congress in 1997.

My flavor to this pot is that Nancy Pelosi is "too big to fail".  She is the first "woman" speaker of the house, who also happens to be a liberal democrat (a two-fer).  For Nancy to resign her post or be driven away in disgrace will be a slap to the liberal gender agenda.  There has to be a way to get her out of this mess, even if it means telling more lies (Heaven forbid!).

Amazing how she's claiming to be avoiding the Sunday talk show circuit because she has to attend her granddaughter's First Communion in Phoenix.

WTF?  They don't have TV studios in Phoenix, Bela?  Oh, and how's that little disconnect between communion and supporting abortion going?

It will buy her time to hone her stupid and clearly false story of being "mislead"  ::)

The media will not challenge it (remember the 60 minutes interview with Bill and Hill when they both denied an affair even though they had Flowers on tape telling Bill over the phone that he gave good oral).

They will gin up something to support her.

I hope I am wrong and at this point next week can make a post saying I was but doubt I will need to worry about it.

Liberals in the House will rally around her. She will probably stay on as speaker. However, if Obama sees this as an opportunity to axe her because of it inhibiting his agenda or her flagrant independence, he might throw her under the bus. If he wants her out, she will be gone.

Dumb as she is, she probably still thinks we have cowboy and indian fights out here. And tumbleweeds! (Actually, we still have those. LOL.)

Maybe she can hide-out in Biden's super-secret Undisclosed VP Bunker.

If she'd like I can give her directions.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Hi,

Where the hell are the republicans?  Were this Gingrich the democrats would be in lock step demanding that he step down.  I am really getting sick and tired of the lack of republican leadership, they should be fanning the damn flames instead of sitting back.  They should be screaming that she was the one that said, "are we doing enough?".

Every republican on the intelligence committee should be preaching the same version of what happened to reinforce her faulty memory, need 5-6 people who were there to speak out.  That would make it much more difficult for them to develop some stupid cover story that is believable because there were several witnesses.....not confronted currently by the democrats....so anything that she comes out with would reek of more BS.

They seem to forget this idiot is two heartbeats from the presidency.  She obviously has dementia and likely Alzheimers and should step down because her memory is failing her in her old age.

What a crock!

I've only heard from a couple of Republicans calling out Pelosi. In fact, I've heard more the media calling her out than from the GOP, and that is really a sad indictment of the weakness of GOP leadership.

I agree that the leadership coming from the GOP is currently weak, but if the Republicans unite to condemn Pelosi, the Democrats will circle the wagons instantly. - It's like getting children to do their homework, or their chores. Sometimes, you need to let them think doing these things is their idea. Once it becomes yours they resist.

It would seem that this story has gone into hiding with Pelosi.
I haven`t seen much online about it since last week and have little doubt the network talking heads have been happily assisting her to wait out the news cycle.

At some point an "unnamed CIA insider" will come forth to verify her claims and that will settle it...she was either telling the truth flat out or at the least there is the chance of it they will say.
End of story as far as the press is concerned.

Honestly folks, this has been how it has gone for my entire life and am sure long before that with the media providing cover to dems when it was serious.

I heard his speech today, some of it sounded good, but only if he can follow through on it.
