I have to agree with applebanger and the ones that pointed this out. There is often a huge disparity in the coverage of missing white females and other people that have gone missing. I sometimes wonder if that isn't caused by people thinking/wanting the husband/boyfriend to be found the guilty party.
It's because white women are by and large killed by
WHITE MEN, which translates into more TV ratings. It's all dollars and cents. Furthermore, we only hear about relatively affluent white women killed by men, because there's usually a salacious story behind it.
White women whose disappearances make the news are generally married, and are generally killed by their (white) husbands. White girls who go missing tend to be killed by family members. That makes for NEWS.
As politically incorrect as it is to say this, and as many bitchslaps as I may get, a black man killing anyone just isn't all that newsworthy anymore.
