I would like to see him treated by members of both parties as a Leper.

I think you may get your wish, although the Senators have a tradition of showing respect to each other.

We can see that.  Reid REALLY respects Specter....

It is pretty god damned sad that a man who has been in office for four DECADES didn't fully grasp how seniority works

Gees, why didn't Arlen Specter become a Democrat when he first became a Senator. He was always one of them. I guess the Dems don't like turncoats either.

Sestak may even deliver a knock out blow. Hey Specter, how's it going to feel to have your career in the hands of the Democrat primary voters? LOL

Hot Air's Ed Morrissey also agree's with splash...
http://hotair.com/archives/2009/05/06/senate-dems-to-specter-hello-rookie/
Ed also notes that Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins may now have second thoughts about following Specter down that road. Specter got used, abused and is on his way to the ash heap of history. Bye bye (in 2010) to the indistinguished gentleman from Pennsylvania.

Actually, I'm sure I read last week or the week before, the Dems promised they wouldn't run anyone against him if he became a traitor. I'd have to search the link. but I'm sure I have read it.

Could have retired gracefully as an honored elder statesman.  Instead, thanks to his craving to remain in power, he departs the stage as a failed clown.

I really think he's going down in history as a traitor to American politics in order to hold on to his power. I know that's what I'm going to spread around on the net!

Guess what Sphincter, you got it without the vaseline and you haven't even realized it yet!
