Anyone here still upset he's not a Republican anymore?

Anyone here not yet convinced that a purge of the party and not more "big tent" RINO's like him is what's really needed?

Really?

In the 39 years since Nixon called for that war, Democrats controlled the House for the first 24 years. They controlled the Senate for the first 10 years. In fact in the last 39 years, Democrats have controlled the House for 27 years and the Senate for 22 years.

And actually, the Democratic health plan calls for fewer specialists — including the very oncologists who saved Specter’s life.

Then we must consider the fact that Kemp was only diagnosed 5 months ago, a cure would have been unlikely to have helped since most treatments require an early diagnosis to be effective.

I wonder how much more money is required to cure cancer?  It seems to me "Ole Arlen" must know the figure, so why isn't he saying?  I want to know the exact dollar amount needed and I want to know now so we can get this terrible disease behind us.  

It should be law that anyone who states not enough money is being spent to solve a social problem must tell the world exactly how much money is needed to solve that problem.  Allowing open-ended criticism without the solution should no longer be tolerated.  

Someone who blames others without having the answers himself should not be allowed to politically gain from his ambiguous and illogical complaint left unfinished to float in the air.

I've seen an argument made that cancer will NEVER be cured as long as it is Government funding the research.  Finding the cure would kill the Golden Goose.

When viewed through the same prism as one would use when examining "Global Warming" and Government funded "research", it becomes less and less difficult to believe.

Virtually everything Government touches is ultimately corrupted.


Oh, and could Arhole Sphincter be any more vile?  My wife and I nearly gagged when we heard him say this.

He was a "Republican" for too long IMO - 30 years. I have heard they might put up a primary challenger to him, but I can't see why they would:

Murtha won reelection on Obama's coattails. Specter will not have that advantage in 010.  

I would like to ask him two questions. Since the US government has spent 4 or 5 times more money on Aid research and prevention than Cancer, why has not a cure for Aids been found?
