They have me spending a year and a half in a mental institution.

I didn't know physical rehab is now considered being in a mental institution.

More choice tidbits:

Interesting. Interesting also that DUmmie "formercia" misstates the timing of the mining of Nicaragua's harbors. From a post of his copied on your link: "I was one of the CIA Officers that worked on the mining of the harbors in Nicaragua program. In January of 1982, I notified my superiors that I felt the program was illegal. Apparently, Poppy took great offense to this."

You'll see at The Consortium that the idea of the mining venture didn't come about until January 1984. And it was in 1984, according to other sources, that Congress became up in arms about their being left out of the picture.

It seems odd to me that someone with so much animosity toward the CIA and a former administration would be so specific about a date ("January of 1982") yet get it so wrong.

--snip--

Actually, the project began in the fall of 1981. I know because I was there. sorry, assholes.

The mines were not dropped until the Spring of 1984. That's where they're confused.

34. The project was shelved temporarily

It was only one project of many. I had transferred back to DC but was recalled back to reactivate the project when Operations decided to go ahead and deploy the mines. Operations knew of my objections to the project but I was the only one who knew the internal workings to complete the wiring assemblies and arm the mines. They could have briefed someone else but that would have taken too long.
I went to my Division chief at the time and expressed my concerns over what they were about to do. He suggested that I speak to the Inspector General and made arrangements for me to do so.

Did you work with TomInTib on that one?

40. That asshat isn't the REAL Frank Solich (Neb coach), right? Isn't he the one using Solich's name

who also smeared Andy as lying about his medical condition?

The REAL Frankie Solich wouldn't betray his Holy Name upbringing to lie a dying man into an early grave. Holy Namers were brought up to be generous to the needy and to extend a hand to the outcast and the ill.

That evil asshat on FR can't POSSIBLY be the REAL Frankie Solich.

It delayed the surgery he needed desperately by a few days when PayPal wouldn't release the funds.

they don't understand the context of the word primitive, frank. you should explain it on FR.

Well, Hell, dutch, sir, it's like trying to explain the concept of 2 + 2 = 4 over and over and over and over and over and over again.

But I think I'll get around to doing that on freerepublic, if not today then tomorrow.

In the meantime, for lurking primitives, the definition is to be found in "DU for guests," which is to be found in the DUmping Ground here (a subsidiary forum of this, the DUmpster).

Well, excresence.

The primitives must be sprawled out in basements, stoned out, this fine Saturday afternoon.

I was hoping something would come of this, but as usual when dealing with primitives, one has to resign oneself to that primitives only lurk behind the thick foliage at the edge of Skins's island, looking out to the wide world beyond with their beady little eyes, in paralytic fear and alarm.

I just happened to stumble upon the link on Google.  I have better things to do with my time

Isn't there a single DUmbAss over there to call him on this obvious BS? I mean, c'mon! How in the world can you "stumble" onto or into a google search?????

The DUmbAss on their site is truly astounding!!!!

As a second point, if they were truly honest about Scamdy, they would realize they did as much to screw Andy as anyone! After all, wasn't it Bev Harris that got the whole scam going in the first place? After Andy was involved with the whole Diebold BS, why should anyone believe him about anything? Then of course we had Doug's ex wifey to throw a wrench in the works. Can't imagine why anyone would think it was a scam!!!!!!!

They live in fear that they will be the one to get admonished for bringing up a new "site that can`t be named" so they are dancing around the subject...such sniveling little cowards.
They know and are visiting though.

Two thoughts here, sir.

The primitives don't necessarily have to refer to this other site that shall not be named, although as far as I know, my fellow alum Skins's hasn't banned mention of this place.

Remember, it was lowly moderator on Skins's island who said this site shall not be named, not Skins himself.

There's a difference there.

The other thing is, I can't understand the reluctance of primitives to unfold their wings, and fly out into the wider world, including here.

Primitives seem to have this really stupid notion that by going to a web-site--this one or any other one--they are exposing themselves to some sort of physical peril or danger; that a fist, for example, might suddenly come flying through the monitor of their computer, slugging them in the face.

It's the internet.

I dunno how it's possible that one person sitting at a computer in Boston can do bodily harm to another person sitting at a computer in San Francisco, but obviously primitives think such can actually happen, and so are fearful.

We are currently exploring this possibility at the VRWC headquarters. It seems it is feasible, but we are currently awaiting approval from our exalted leader "the Rove"!

Further information will be on a need to know basis. Security clearance alpha!

And I thought I was going to be bored when I sold the TV, turned off the satellite service, and said goodbye to to Jack Bauer and the 24 gang.

My dad worked at the Naval Undersea Warfare Station - Keyport for 20 years; mostly on the Mk. 48 torpedo.  NHSparky probably knows better than I do, but those mines wouldn't have specialized "wiring assemblies" that only one man could cobble together.  The mines were probably purchased in job lots from Gould or Alliant Techsystems, and pulled out of some Naval ordnance warehouse on a flatbed semi-trailer.  To arm them, a torpedoman 2nd class would take an exploder unit, insert it into the receiving socket in the mine shell, and insert and turn an arming "key" a quarter turn.  Badda bing, badda boom, the mine is armed, all without Mr. Bauer having to guess whether to cut the red wire or the blue wire.

Way to swing and miss with that Football bat, DUmbass.   :rotf:  :rotf:

It is that self preservation of beliefs thing.

They never, not once..not ever, think out the natural results of their selfish desires given what human nature is.
They live for the moment, want everything given to them and have to block out of their minds what happens when all their fellow travellers have the same desire.

It is why they hate each other only slightly less then they do us...they think we are denying them there due and think the primitive beside them is taking some of theirs.

The mentality of a very small child who has not matured to the point of true compassion and reason.
It doesn`t change things but makes them understandable a bit when that is how one regards them.

In case you are reading this husbs....that is what your cursing, incoherent screeds are to normal folks, the selfish and idiotic tantrums of a 3 year old.

It just sounds eerily similar to something Doug's ex-wife said four years ago on this date.

Perhaps the funky loo primitive should ask Doug's ex-wife about it.

That is, of course, given that Doug's ex-wife still retains enough unfossilized brain-cells to remember it.

Well, that pretty much makes the whole thing a black hole.

Yeah, you know, what pisses me off is that until such time Pa Kettle in the White House abolishes free speech, while the primitives are free to criticize franksolich as much as they want, the primitives if they dare criticize decent and civilized people with whom franksolich associates, well, there are consequences to free speech.

I need a new primitive to play with.

Chief S itting Bull, the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive, has been rather boring lately, with all this "I'm a victim" and "pain is terrible" cry-babying.  Just really tediously boring.  Chief S itting Bull needs to understand that if he lets go of his Hate, the pain, or most of it, goes too.

But that's obviously not going to happen soon, and so I'm short a primitive to play with, and this funky loo primitive looks just as good as any.
