Obama 'furious' over plane mishap, sources say
(CNN) – President Obama was "furious" after one of the presidential jets was allowed to fly low over New York City for a White house photo-op, a senior administration official told CNN.

It's a big bonfire, so only a little of the primitive jibber-jabber:

I can't picture him being furious... I've read in the past that friends/colleagues claim he never gets heated.

It takes a lot to do it, but I wouldn't want to piss him off!
I dunno. I'd be more scared of an angry Ma Kettle, Shelley-0.

Well, maybe I would, LOL. Good! That doesn't sound like something our highly competent President would be a party to.

I feel for the New Yorkers on the ground that witnessed this and had no idea what was going on.

42. That was my first thought: this was orchestrated by some civil servant marketing holdover from the Bush admin who wanted New Yorkers to associate a plane with the presidential seal with terrorists, right down to the fighter jet "escorts."
The primitives get around to discussing whether or not the mayor knew.

96. Oh horsehit. Do you think the mayor would sign off on this without informing the media so the population would know?
Give me a break.
The cboy4 primitive put a
kibosh on that, so the primitives get back on topic.

54. I don't think so...considering the DOD followed procedure.
It was the responsibility of the Mayor and or NYPD or who ever to inform the public.
Like it was the responsibility of the mayor of New Orleans and the governor of Louisiana to get people out of the way of Hurricane Katrina, franksolich then assumes.

60. Why would he?
If the Air Force wants to fly planes around and take pictures, they certainly don't need the president's approval.
Flying planes is what they are pretty good at doing.

34. I don't believe it, this defies logic
Caldera would have to be the biggest arrogant asshole in the world for this to be plausible. No one spoke up and said this idea was idiotic? No one said hey if this needs to go down like this let's do it early Sunday morning to cause the least disruption? It is more plausible that someone, or a group of people had an axe to grind and said **** them, let's do this.

No doubt this is a complete embarrassment, but laying all this at the foot of the President sounds like something a right winger would do. Sure, it's his decision now about what to do with the guy (Caldera), but why not give him at least 24 hours to figure this out, huh?
Talk about jumping the gun.
Too bad the primitives weren't willing to give George Bush seven minutes the morning of 9-11.
Now, the packing mom primitive, who was the very first primitive franksolich detected lying, so many years ago; the first of thousands:

90. Guess none of those people have ever heard of Photoshop?
Imagine how much fuel and effort could have been spared from what they did in this stupid act for a "photo op". All they needed to have done was take stock photos/past photos of Air Force one and put "national monuments" behind them....
The idiot boy who decided to fund and okay this stupid stunt that wasted money and needlessly scared and brought back bad memories for people still suffering from memories/nightmares of 9/11 - should be FIRED!!!! (and forced to take a photoshop class).
After which a primitive posts a photograph of Air Force One flying past Mount Rushmore.

Its a cool pic, but they could've got a great pic of the things just flying over the Atlantic. It just sounds dumb. They wanted to take pics of a governement plane flying thru NY. That makes no sense. I blame Bob Gates. I know he knew about this.

98. I know. But my point is there's no reason to take a new photograph of a 747, painted in those colors and writing unless Mt. Rushmore has changed somehow, or the type of aircraft or livery has changed.
Neither has, which makes it all the more ridiculous and wasteful.

105. See, this is why I think the Photo-op is BS.
It seems like a lot of hassle for a photo. My tinfoil hat is coming on!
I think it's a test drive of how quick people would react if a plane appeared under 2000ft in NYC airspace.
It could also be a setup by this Bush appointee to give President Obama a hard time.

94. Being furious is good but it's not going to cut it.
He needs to do something Bush couldn't do, and that's fire people who **** up.
It's unforgivable someone actually signed off on flying a 747 15-hundred feet over the Hudson, being chased by fighter jets.
Unbelievable.
Excuses, excuses.
