INSIDE WASHINGTON: Millions of couples, retirees may have to repay some of Obama tax credit

Stephen Ohlemacher, Associated Press Writer

On Thursday April 30, 2009, 6:55 pm EDT

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Millions of Americans enjoying their small windfall from President Barack Obama's "Making Work Pay" tax credit are in for an unpleasant surprise next spring.

The government is going to want some of that money back.

The tax credit is supposed to provide up to $400 to individuals and $800 to married couples as part of the massive economic recovery package enacted in February. Most workers started receiving the credit through small increases in their paychecks in the past month.

But new tax withholding tables issued by the IRS could cause millions of taxpayers to get hundreds of dollars more than they are entitled to under the credit, money that will have to be repaid at tax time.

0Bama was in such a hurry to pass his welfare program to those who don't pay taxes, that they have ended up screwing with the finances of millions of people that do pay taxes.  Yep, that sounds about like the left to me.

Not the whole pony, just a leg or two.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

You have to go buy two ponies to give "back".  One for the guy in your neighborhood who smokes crack and knocks up several women a year, and one for the one you never got.  Got it?
