It's very odd.

The warped primitive hasn't shown up at this bonfire.

In case one doesn't know, the warped primitive is "allergic" to foods good for her, especially dairy products, but strangely not allergic to foods bad for her, especially sugar-laden chocolate.

I have a craving for chocolate. I have some cocoa powder, but no baking chocolate, and don't want to have to go to the store. Ideas, anyone?

1. Do you have any Processed Cheese food in your pantry?

I'm actually making a batch of this fudge this week to send to the kid in College. If you've never tried the Velveeta Fudge...You should try it. Full of fat, flavor and who knows what else...but it really is very, very good.

2. No, I haven't allowed that petroleum product masquerading as "food", lol

in my kitchen in 30 years (the college BF loved it, but me, not so much). And I was raised on Velveeta grilled "cheese" sandwiches, which I loved, lol.

I'm strictly a butter, lard, olive oil, and canola girl these days.

You know, that's how I determined the Rita Hayworth primitive is pretty old.

One time the Rita Hayworth primitive told Grandma she hadn't bought "cheese food" in 45 years.

Well, one tends to be a fully-grown adult when buying groceries.

So that's when I figured out the Rita Hayworth primitive is about as old as Rita Hayworth would be, if Rita Hayworth were still alive.

3. 1 heaping tsp of cocoa powder, 1-2 heaping tsp of sugar and 1 cup milk

Microwave for 1.5 minutes, and you have hot chocolate.

Another possibility: I made brownies and frosting out of cocoa powder once -- can't remember the exact recipe, though.

What a DUmmie!  Velveeta is made of whey, a perfectly healthy byproduct of cheese making.  It is endorsed by the AMA and the Heart Association.

Velveeta has been around at least 75 years.  That means it was available even way back when Frank and I were kids.

...oh yeah, as for the emergency chocolate fix:  Mix together cocoa powder and table sugar.  Add a couple of drops of vanilla extract.  Put pinches of it in your mouth like snuff.  Don't spit.
