Seriesly !!!!  Conservative have been screaming that cap and trade is nothing BUT a tax on everyone.   BTW Al Bore, where cap and trade has been done it has hurt economies, just like forcing green energy programs have done.  None of this sh*t is really about saving the planet or preventing glowbull warming, it's all about redistributing wealth and making all countries live like the 3rd world does now.

It is a massive tax that will raise the price of electrricity, gas and food not to mention everything that requires energy to produce and delivery such as clothing, shoes, dog food and just about everything.

If you are poor, on a fixed income or even middle class, this tax is going to whack you very very hard. There are estimates it could cost more than $1700 a year per on average per family.

But there are folk who think Obama is going to pay for their mortgage, gas and stuff

Blackburn should have kept on the Boracle about his profiting and the tax increase part.  She had him flustered. :)

I've heard $3100 a year per family.

Not surprising.  Yet another Democrat who thinks they are the smartest person on the planet.  This is why they are so messed up.

Hi,

On Glenn Becks radio show last week he discussed this very issue.  Seems that Keith Olberman had something like nitwit of the week award.  He quoted some professor from MIT that said that it would only cost like $800+ per family annually and he trashed the republican who said it was $3100 joking about his math, mocking him and giving him the award.

Well it turns out that the republicans took the total amount of money this would raise for the government, well over $300 billion and divided it by the number of families and it turned out to be $3100 per family.

Next thing that happened is the guy from MIT comes out with a correction.  His estimate was the costs of goods increasing that the public would have to pay etc, thinking the energy companies would not pass that cost on to the consumer.  He realized his mistake, issued a retraction and actually said it would be the total of the two, over $4,000 per family.  Beck awarded Olberman his nitwit of the week...or some name like that.  I seriously doubt that Olberman, under instructions from GE president Jeffrey Immelt, would ever issue an apology or retraction.

Of course GE has issued instructions to MSNBC to not criticize BO because they have set up a new company to handle all the money for the government.  No corporate abuse of power or anything like that you understand.

This is a brutal thing to do to the American people, same as the government medical.  I think they are trying to get both of them through where there is 2 hours of debate and only requires 51 votes to pass.  That is why they have directed the attention to the release of the CIA interrogation data, so they can sneak this one through before the public has time to voice dissent.

So much for representative government.  It is maddening.

It's actually even worse than a tax, it is an upward boundary on economic activity, even taxes are not that damaging.

The tax increase from this junk bill is bad enough. What it will do to business, and our entire infrastructure will be criminal. It will take decades to undo what this bill would do to America's Industrial capacity.
