I've been adding massive amounts of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, driving my 4WD truck around and about to add some more by going out to mow the lawn on my riding mower.

I have chicken pox. :bawl:

I did my part by purchasing 17 gallons of gas for my Mazda, then cleaned out my apartment a little more.  4 more bags of garbage and useless junk going to the landfill.  :fuelfire:  And I'm still not done.  Will waste plenty of water when I do laundry and clean the shower later.  :evillaugh:

no.....my brother had them when I was about 16 or 17, and both my kids had them (my daughter had them twice)...I just never got them.

When I got married, I had a blood test to check if I had any antibodies for rubella and I didn't, so I was vaccinated. After my daughter was born, I was checked again, and still no antibodies....so I got another vaccine. After my son was born, I still didn't have any.

I've had a smallpox vaccine twice....the second time I was given a double dose, because I was going to college and NIU required a visible smallpox scar. I didn't get a scar that time either, though I did get pretty sick from it. The doctor had to fill out a form that I was given one in order for me to pass the physical that the university required for admission.

Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov Lenin born, Simbirsk Russia.

Apr 22 1915
The German Army opens 5,700 canisters of chlorine gas upwind of French soldiers at Ypres. It is the first use of poison gas for military purposes.

Apr 22 1923
Kinky centerfold model Bettie Mae Page born in Nashville, Tennessee. As she describes herself, "I was never the girl next door."

Apr 22 1934
John Dillinger's gang shoots their way out of an FBI ambush outside the Little Bohemia Hunting Lodge in northern Wisconsin. The FBI accidentally kills one innocent bystander and injures two others in the humiliating debacle.

Apr 22 1954
Porn star and onetime Ivory Snow model Marilyn Chambers is born in Westport, Connecticut.

Apr 22 1992
215 people are killed and 1,500 injured when two miles of sewer lines explode in Gaudalajara, Mexico. 20 city blocks in the downtown area are leveled by the blast. A corroded petroleum pipeline had filled the sewer with explosive fuel.

In September 1969 at a conference in Seattle, Washington, U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin announced that in spring 1970 there would be a nationwide grassroots demonstration on the environment. This occurred during a time of great concern about overpopulation and when there was a strong movement towards "Zero Population Growth".

Responding to widespread environmental degradation, Gaylord Nelson, a United States Senator from Wisconsin, called for an environmental teach-in, or Earth Day, to be held on April 22, 1970. Over 20 million people participated that year, and Earth Day is now observed each year on April 22 by more than 500 million people and national governments in 175 countries.

Still no word on why Senator Nelson (D-WI) picked that particular day.

Oh, I'm intimately familiar with lack of sleep. Last night was a normal night. Asleep at about 4 AM, awake at 7...

Sleep? What's that?
