I'm sorry, but we just don't think that this position is all that unreasonable.

Skinner is going to open a discussion on this in the near future, but for now I'm locking this thread.

As an 8 year member and a former moderator, I DO think that position is unreasonable. And I'm still waiting for Skinner's "discussion". We need to clear up once and for all if DU is a place in which some people can call those who disagree with some of Obama's policies "whiners", "doom-and-gloomers", and post threads implying that they all must be teabaggers, etc., and do so with impunity, while if those critical of Obama respond in kind, they are banned.

There's a double standard. Certain Democrats on this board have a different set of rules than others, and it has to be addressed. It's lowering the level of discourse for EVERYONE, yet only some Democrats get punished.

Skinner, you know I've always defended moderators and administrators on this site. YOU KNOW THAT. You are wrong on this one, and I'd like you to have your promised "discussion".

I haven't been able to follow all this "drama", but it sounds like DU is about to implode.

I'd say not.  It's about a loyalty oath, goosestepping, 'my (meaning 0's way)way or the highway', and cultish behavior.  Funny how conservatives were excoriated continuously on that site for what the primitives alleged were the same traits.  It's cool and desirable to be a lemming these days according to DU.
