Terrific Tuesday!
« on: April 21, 2009, 07:55:16 AM »
Well, not weather wise, but it will still be a decent day, I think.  Warm, but soggy.  Curious to see of the ball games tonight will be cancelled or not.

Recuperated from yesterday, after sleeping most of the day yesterday, and for 10 hours last night, so maybe I can get something accomplished today!

Tomorrow I will be at the school helping with Kindergarden registration all day.  Should be fun!

Rainy and crappy, and getting the dog to the vet this morning.  Couldn't be a bigger waste of a vacation day.

That being said, at least I got to go back to sleep for a couple of hours this morning.

TOTD:

The Rack!

Rainy and windy as hell outside.

Mrs. asdf is propped up on the sofa with tea and blankets working on her company laptop enjoying a sick day. :p

Not a helluva lot going on here. :)

Well, that was special. Had a government test I didn't study for. Hopefully I pulled a B at least. The class is pretty easy... for me. Class average is in the low 60s...  :thatsright:

Two more classes and I'm going back to bed.

Finished up two reports this morning and am finally totally caught up.....yea me!!

Have multiple projects to either complete or start...but am thinking about reading for a while.

Trying to decide whether to go to the dr or not.....I apparently have had something bite me on my back. It was just one bump under where my bra fastens.....it's now 5 or 6 bumps. Where the bumps are....they sting - like from a bee sting - but the surrounding area itches something fierce.  M's been putting calamine lotion on the since Friday. Last night he put hydrogen peroxide and alcohol on them before the calamine.  I feel like I could just claw the skin off...and I have the nails to do it too!  :o I hate going to the dr and I don't have insurance....but something tells me, I may not have a choice. :bawl:

Has cleared off here....but the winds blowing and it's supposed to rain again tonight and they are calling for snow up in the mountains!.... but the end of the week it's supposed to by near 80! Gotta love E TN weather!
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Flame, your thread title reminds me of a guy at the security desk a couple of years ago.  As hundreds of people are passing through and swiping their cards, this bozo just sat there and said stuff over and over like "Have a Terrific Tuesday", "Have a Winning Wednesday!"  I wanted to just slug the dude.

Sew R hamburger patties, but that didn't stop Wendy's from makin'em to the cheese squared.

Yeah, but round pancakes are made naturally. Square pancakes are aka waffles.

There's a difference. Trust me.

I would try a dose of benedryl if it was me (it makes you sleepy, be careful) and if it's not better in a few hours, get to the doctor!

Today parts of Nevada will hit 101 degrees!

But, it's a dry heat.  :rotf:

We will have a week of 90's with temps dropping back into the 70's & 80's next week.

I have lived in Nevada exactly one year today! I moved here 4/21/08. At times I had regrets. I get home sick for the Quad City area of Illinois & Iowa. I miss alot of things there, like the rivers & pizza.  I also miss a couple friends, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. But I don't miss humidity, snow or ice.  :-)

Got the dog back from the vet.  $350 to be told he's sick and has kennel cough--yay!  Ya think?

Got some doggie Pedialyte and he got a shot so he can get over the coughing.

Try some apple cider vinegar on the affected area.......

Benedryl also makes a topical spray that is very effective for itching.  It works really well on poison ivy.

Getting ready for work, and sending off a few e-mails.  Today has been no less than irritating, having read a certain drama queen's blog, and dealing with paying for summer semester. :(

I'm just glad I have tomorrow off to sleep in.

I had a lousy, unproductive day today.  I got to the Pick-a-Part and someone had already been at that 280Z.  Half the head bolts were taken off on one side and there were two on the other that are fubar'ed.  It's a 10mm Allen bolt, and both of them are rounded off inside.  I ordered a bolt exctractor kit from Napa, but I'm not sure I want this head now.  It's probably warped by now.

Had my tires checked today, and both my front wheels are out-of-round.  I'll need to replace them.  Had to buy a new spare because the old one had a giant square of rubber cut out of it.  I have no idea why.  No word from the junkyard on my sheet metal yet.

I let some guy borrow a socket and we're sitting there chit-chatting while he unhooks the radiator from a Suburban.  The guy tells me he has cancer and decides to show me his colostomy bag.

Maybe they hid dope in the spare, I seen that on Cops once. Bad boys, bad boys.....

He showed you his colostomy bag? What a shitty way to start a friendship.
