ON BOARD NRB CORTE-REAL, April 11 (Reuters) - A U.S.-owned, Italian-flagged tugboat reported hijacked in the Gulf of Aden has 10 Italian citizens among its 16-member crew, according to NATO alliance officials on a warship in the region.
Lieutenant Sergio Carvalho, on the Portuguese warship NRB Corte-Real, said the tugboat issued a distress call before communications went silent six minutes later.
The NATO officials on the Portuguese ship, which was too far away to help, said the vessel appeared to have been hijacked although they could not definitively confirm that. This is what the U.S. needs to combat these pirates.  Purchase at least three squadrons of them from the IDF and operate them along the same lines as the Brown Water Navy did in Vietnam.

These boats are fast enough and are armed heavily enough to counter the pirates on the open ocean.

We already have similar craft.  They operate in support of SEALs, etc.

What really seems to make this worse, IMO, is the fact that this seems like a direct challenge to the US and 0Bama. These pirates have in the past taken cargo ships with valuable cargo for the most part.  This is an intentional taking of an American flagged vessel with no cargo and Italian crew.  A direct challenge to the impotence of 0Bama.

So is this the "test" Biden warned us about?  Or is it the tip of the iceberg.  My thoughts, the manner in which Obama handles this situation will be send out a strong message...a "don't mess with us" or a "Open Season on the USofA"  My fear unfortunately is that it will be the latter...
