Beer pricing discriminates against cyclists.
I just stopped at a convenience store on my way home.

A six pack was seven bucks, ie, about $1.20 per beer.

A twelve pack was nine bucks, ie, about 75 cents per beer.

Ever try to carry twelve beers on a bicycle?

It ain't easy.

Or safe.

Why should I pay almost 50 cents more per beer just because I don't want to endanger my health?

****ing Cagers never have to take weight into consideration when making purchases.

They can throw all the crap they want in the back of their Earth-Killing, Oil War-starting Monstrosities.

ANd why does anyone need a 12 Pack anyway?

If you can't get a good buzz off six beers then you've probably got a drinking problem.

I smell a furry critter that digs holes.

48. "scapular misidentity syndrome" seems to be something made up by you...
Google search results of the term only brings up posts by you...

BTW, when I lived in South Florida, I used to carry a 12 pack, on ice in an Igloo cooler, on the back of a bike...

Only a DUmmy could think of this.

There are actually real life flesh and blood people that we like to call "friends" in our world.   I knows yours only exist in the cyber world, but trust me dude they really do exist.

Oh, and why does anyone drink alone?    If you are drinking six beers by your lonesome then you probably got a drinking problem.

Some observations.
1) Typical DUmmie, if its inconvenient to him, its discriminatory.
2) He looks first for the free option...He's willing to buy beer, but not a cheap rack for his bike? Obama not sent it in the mail yet?
and BTW, wheres my pony?!!
3) This sounds like the adventures of a professional DU welfare recipient. No car, posting from the library, anything but work.

I seldom ever drink a beer.....but all of a sudden I have this craving for one.
I guess I'll have to fire up the old gas guzzler and drive 6 miles one way to get one.

If you're drinking beer from a can, you're not drinking beer so whatever you are paying is a rip off.  What difference does it make really?  You might as well mix some water with a tiny bit of dish soap and drink that.  Think of how many "beers" you can make with just one bottle of soap and tap water?

Yeah, the primitive's a little old to be riding a bicycle; it's not like he's a college student or something.  I used to see a lot of this, in Lincoln and Omaha, middle-ageds hoofing it on bicycles, knapsack or whatever tied on the back.

These weren't people bicycling for the fun or the exercise of it.

This appears in this thread several times, and each time it annoyed the hell out of me.  Who the f*** does this nanny thinks it is?  Mind your own business, maybe someone has a date or just want to tie one on.

Wait, so this guy doesn't understand the need for picking up more than a six pack.

Is clueless towards the desire of picking up a case.

Apparently he doesn't have any friends, which is really a shame  :(

As for not being able to ride one handed on a bicycle.  Silly, he already is!  How else do you think he's carrying back the pint of Ben N' Jerry's!  Nom Nom Nom  :-)

I've hated beer most of my life but the last time my son was home on leave he bought some Corona. I found out I like THAT beer. I still like hard liquor and red wine better, though.

27. A convenience store is a really expensive place
 to buy anything.

Is that your only option? Because those prices are awfully high, assuming, of course, you're talking about regular American beer.

I feel for ya, honey. If I didn't take cabs everywhere, I'd be sober far too often ...............

Oh my. Drunk Rita Hayworth primative? That's a frightening though. As for the OP, I read the whole thread and no, he doesn't have any friends, he doesn't live in a city with sidewalks, he hasn't ran any redlights since an unfortunate biking accident back in the 80's, he is allergic to grapes, and there are no other stores on his route from work. This is in addition to his made up, very painful ailment. He is whining to beat the band, and actually asked them why they were apologists for big business, (big beer?), instead of the working man. IOW, a complete loser tit.  :loser: :loser: :loser:
There is no virtue in compulsory government charity, and there is no virtue in advocating it. A politician who portrays himself as caring and sensitive because he wants to expand the government's charitable programs is merely saying that he is willing to do good with other people's money. Well, who isn't? And a voter who takes pride in supporting such programs is telling us that he will do good with his own money— if a gun is held to his head.

Was that before or after he hijacked the VRWC Time MachineTM and went back to 1776 for the raid on Trenton?  His involvement was the critical element in General Washington's victory, you know!

This idiot does know about backpacks, right ? and that if he rides around a nearby college on trash day, he can probably score one for free ? oh wait, he suffers from scapular misidentity syndrome  -- SCAMS is an awful disease, affecting millions of bike riding, government cheese eating hippies nationwide - its a tragedy when somebody develops SCAMS, because the government will need to aid in their SCAMS for the rest of their lives.
