04-09 Thursday
« on: April 09, 2009, 05:22:23 AM »
I haven't decided if I'm going to do anything worth excresence today.

I have things to do, places to go, but none of it HAS to be done today, and it's not like putting it off will pressure me down the road, tomorrow or something.

I'm reading that recently-released book by Joseph Torres, about his years with America's team, the New York Yankees, and I might read it all the way through today.

Frank, it sounds like you have your day planned already. Sounds like a good day to me.

At some point today I will be at work, with no plans before or after.

Well, when at work, keep on the lookout for three fat primitives, one of them enormously so.

If you need additional clues, they'll probably be loudly bitching about the bus driver.

HA!

I will just look for the bus with the blown out tires, that would be a huge load to haul.

Brought the plants in last night, we'll see if any of them live.  I might as well just plant them out in the yard tomorrow and reseed what doesn't live.  As for the strawberries, I'm thinking just plants from the nursery.  Too much hassle raising from seed.

Maybe go play a little poker tonight.  Off tomorrow, then clean/pack, and off to KC next week.

Sun's out, supposed to hit 60 today...we'll see.  About froze my arse off at the young one's scrimmage last night!

Hoping to get some yard work done today,,,raking, weed/feeding, etc.

Heading to Baltimore for the day tomorrow, and picking my little girl up from the Airport tomorrow evening.  If I see UGP, I'll be sure to take pictures (or call the SPCA).

Yippee...one report done and only 3 more to go today.... :lmao:

M and I stuffed 120 plastic eggs last night with little chocolate bunnies and eggs for the Easter Egg hunt after 9am Mass on Sunday, have to get them to the Church today. Random act of kindness.....

Meeting a guy at 10 to do an interior shoot, and have a driveby, then meeting with my new accountant to try and straighten out my taxes..... :censored:

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood....supposed to get up to 70...depending on time, am going looking for rose bushes. The deer girls need another flavor to chomp on... :uhsure:

Have a lovely day, everybody!!

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

70?  What's 70?

I think I saw that temperature INSIDE once or twice.

OMFG...I looked it up.  The highest temperature we've had this YEAR is 59 degrees.  So far this month, 54.  Al Gore shows up, that fat bastard's ass is MINE.

Just pounding on the local DU/libtards on the boards while I'm on break.  Life is fun.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Wish today could be my Friday.  I work 12:30 to 9 tonight, then return at 11 am tomorrow until 7 or so.  After that, I'm hitting I-16 for an Easter AWAY from Savannah.  Car's fueled up, and will load it tonight, so I don't have to do it in the morning.   My employer is closed for Easter (God Bless them) so I'll enjoy hanging with my mom.   Bought her a cute little Easter card with a baby bunny on the front.  :uhsure:

Today's my Friday as well. Went to Arlington this morning to talk with a transfer rep for Texas A&M. Went to the Student Veterans Association meeting this afternoon. Had a critique on my photography project. Met with my academic adviser after class.

Tomorrow I'm meeting my mom in Dallas for my birthday lunch.

Come on, Friday! :(

I have enough Jello to feed a small army.  And my POR15 kit arrived today.

Home from work, and shaking like crazy.  If any of you have travelled Abercorn Street in Savannah more than once, then you know about the lovely section of road between the post office and Parker's gas station.  The way they have the road set up so that people can get onto either side from the right side of the road (if you're heading towards downtown), is essentially a major recipe for disaster.   I wish I had a map to explain it better.  I was cruising at 45 mph on the curve of the road towards Armstrong, when all of a sudden, this minivan pulls out from one of the center turn lanes, and STOPS in front of me, trying to get into the next lane over... I'm about 50 feet away.  I'm lucky that the Mazda's brakes work as well as they do because there my tires frickin' SQUEALED (and I'm sure I left some rubber behind) when I slammed on the brakes. :censored:  UGH! People are out to kill me, I swear ( nearly got run over in the parking lot too today...  :().

I just need something to knock me out after that... where's a Xanax when its needed?

I think I'll make a Mudslide without the Kahlua, and with extra Bailey's and vodka.  :uhsure:
