I thought Busom Buddies was a hilarious show when it was on.  I caught a repeat a couple of years ago on some obscure cable channel.  It was the lamest thing I'd ever seen.  It was a flat snore.

That taught me sometimes our memories fail to mature as we do.

Psych on USA channel.  There have been several episodes that have left me laying on the floor laughing.

Carol Burnett Show.

I loved to watch Tim Conway make Harvey Corman laugh during a "serious" skit.

And then there was this one:

OK.  I just watched a 54 year old episode of "I Love Lucy" on the Hallmark Channel.  I laughed out loud.  That's got to mean something.  Here's the line that got me to LOL:

Ricky:  "Did you call Ethel a hippopotamus?"

Lucy:  "Noo.  I just intimated she's a little hippy - but now that I look at her she does have the biggest potamus I've ever seen."

.......

Lucy (to Ethel as Lucy's leaving the Mertz's apartment in a huff):  "Happy birthday.  I hope you live another seventy-five years."

........
Classic timeless stuff.

NHSparky, I'm a MSTy, too!  I even have a collection like some dork.  :-)  I loved that show, though nobody else I know "gets" it.

Have to also agree with Carol Burnett, Newhart, and Kids.

Does anybody about 37-45 years old remember something called "Mad Movies?"  It ran on Saturday nights in about 1987 or 88.  They would dub other dialogue onto movies and I laughed endlessly.   Maybe it was the beer.

Lucille Ball is my all time favorite actress.  I watched all her tv shows and most of her movies.  Her last one "Stone Pillow" was painful to watch because of the part she played (and she played it very well) & I gained a new respect for her depth of talent.
