Posted on 07 April 2009 by admin

Washington (SmartAboutHealth) - The PEPFAR AIDS effort ignited by former president George W. Bush managed to save 1.2 million lives on Africa over the course of just 5 years.

Former president George W. Bush will be remembered forever as the man who jump started the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, or PEPFAR.

The effort, which kicked off in the year 2003, has turned into a major success over the years.
