So... I guess my 4 mo. old was never born

We've been waiting for his Social Security number to come for quite a while.  We ended up having our income tax refund lowered because the feds didn't see his SSN on our forms.  We're going to go to the nearest SS office, which is about 50 miles away, but today we were thrown for a loop.  In trying to acquire a certified copy of his birth certificate, we were told that the county has no record of his birth.  Great.  Just great.  So now we're trying to figure out things with the hospital records dept.  I figure we should have this all worked out in time for his high school graduation.  Frickin' bureaucracy.

Alright, turns out some boob at the hospital filed away his paperwork before it was properly processed.  *sigh*  I can just see this taking months and months to resolve.

I still sometimes have problems when I have to produce my birth certificate.  The hospital filed it with the county, before my parents chose a name for me.  All mine says is baby boy, with no name listed.

Than ask for a refund for the medical and insurance charges from the hospital  :cheersmate:
