04-05 Sunday morning thread
« on: April 05, 2009, 06:21:00 AM »
It's 30 degrees in the Sandhills of Nebraska today.

With winds gusting sometimes to 60+ mph, but mostly around 40 mph.

And snow, several inches, falling horizontally onto the ground.

All the cats but Decker are safely inside the house, warm and cozy.

I hope this weather ends up in a blue state somewhere.

46 degrees this morning, with showers and thunderstorms forecast for the day with a chance of snow late tonight/tomorrow.  Not likely that the snow will stick even if we get any.

47 and sunny this morning.

Had to pick up the son this morning at 6 am.. He's back from a 3-4 day band trip to Florida. The 13 almost 14 year old rascal snowed some 18 year old girl from West Virginia while at "Wet N Wild"?. She looks good in the picture (red bikini and built...haha) and he's floating on air, smiling from ear to ear.

I was hoping we could put this kindda stuff off a year or two longer..... :-)

18-year old in a red bikini?

Pictures.  No good without visual verification, JohnnyReb.

42 and windy, but the sun is out which means the garden might not actually freeze after all.  Breakfast was good, dishes done, nothing left to do but kick back and watch the world go by today.

That is all.

Sunny and pretty nice here today for a change!  BUt it's not going to last...after this, it's in the low 50's or even 40's for the rest of the week.

Going to go to the batting cages this afternoon for a bit, to enjoy the day.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Thanks for the reminder, I'll have to check the VCR/DVR/DVD recorders soon.

Was 51 and sprinky dinkin' when we came out of Mass at 8:30, but the sun is out now and supposed to get up to 72 before it starts raining....snow ...yes SNOW!...is predicted tomorrow night. Low to be 29 on Tuesday  and 27 on Wednesday ....just thrilled that I've been planting flowers.... :censored:

Doing laundry and working on reports this afternoon. Reading my book for a little bit first.....anyone read Killer Heat by Linda Fairstein? Might get some bulbs planted too. So many choices.....sigh.... :-)
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Windy here and the temperature is dropping.  We're supposed to get freezing weather for the next couple of days.

Back at work.

And watching the Weather Channel this morning, looks like you'll be getting nice and frosty come Tuesday/Wednesday.  Misery loves company.

It's nice here with a great breeze.

Sorry to hear about all the snow Frank, that should be over with by this time of year! I guess Nebraska has yet to hear about global warming.

I've been lazy for two days, getting ready for a busy week at work.

More rain for Savannah... and less allergies for me.  :cheersmate:  Temp was getting a little too high this morning for me, but with the storm moving in, it dropped back to a much more acceptable level.   Work was average, but got some bad news.  Hours are being cut back sharply next week because the week after Easter tends to be the slowest week of the year in retail.  this sucks... I only got 17 hours.  :(

We got some evil weather coming through.  Should be gone in half an hour, but the wind is pretty mean out there.

Gorgeous warm weather here today.  I walked to and from church.  Finishing up my taxes today.  Looks like I'll owe around $80.
