Things got a little crazy in the city's public works department earlier this year. The city's safety coordinator allegedly stripped down to his socks and walked into a co-worker's office. Right before that he had brandished a sign that said "It's Friday'' on one side, and "Let's get naked'' on the other, the co-worker complained. She wasn't receptive to the idea of seeing her colleague in the buff. End result: David Daley was put on administrative leave and then resigned Feb. 2, because of the January incident. He couldn't immediately be reached for comment at his Miramar home. (If this all sounds familiar, maybe you read Elgin Jones' report about this last week at South Florida Times.)Police documented the case. The incident was considered a "lewd/lascivious'' act, which would be a misdemeanor, city police records say. Employee Daniela Metz signed a waiver of prosecution, writing that she was "not looking to get anybody in any more trouble.'' Reached at work Monday, she declined comment. Here's what happened, according to the police report:Metz and Daley were co-workers in public works. In mid-January, Metz said she was on the computer looking at body waxes. Daley walked in and asked her what she was doing, and she told him. Here's more, from the police report containing Metz's allegations that she relayed to police:When she passed by his office later that day, he called her in. He had pictures of naked girls on his computer "that had done a Brazilian wax to themselves,'' the police report says. She walked away. She said that week he was calling her "hot mama.''The following week, she was on the scale in the cafeteria, and she said he told her, "you should come into my office and weigh yourself without your clothes,'' to which she said she responded, "not nice.'' He passed her a note later that day. It said, "Will you still be my friend?'' That Friday, the two were alone in the office, when he stopped in her doorway with a sign that read, "It's Friday.'' They started talking about their weekend plans, and as he walked out, he said, "You didn't see the other side of my sign.'' It said, "Let's get naked.''She said he went into his office and called to her: "I will do it if you do it.'' And she responded, "Go ahead.''He came around the corner of her office, exposing his shoulder, and she said she told him about six times to go away. He left and came back, then left again, then came back completely naked except for his socks....

Maybe she can explain why this is necessary on the city-owned computer.
Perhaps she's dyslexic and thought she was at the Department of Pubic Works.
