Ohio Man Charged With DUI After Crashing Motorized Bar Stool

NEWARK, Ohio —  An Ohio man has been charged with drunken driving after crashing his motorized bar stool, authorities said.

Police in Newark, 30 miles east of Columbus, said that when they responded to a report of a crash with injuries on March 4, they found a man who had wrecked a bar stool powered by a deconstructed lawn mower.

Kile Wygle, 28, was hospitalized for minor injuries. He was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after he told an officer at the hospital that he had consumed 15 beers, police said. Wygle told police his motorized bar stool can go up to 38 mph.

Wygle has pleaded not guilty and has requested a jury trial.

That would make bar-hopping a lot easier wouldn't it?

And the speed limit on the roads home from my favorite sports bar (so to speak) are 35 and 30 mph, respectively.  Be awesome to break the speed limit on that while cruising home...but...but...ossifer...I was just doing some mowing work on the side of the road--I got contracted by the town...promise!

Like I've preached many times, this is why we need DDLs (Drunk Driving Lanes).

I wonder if this guy is kin to the guy with the motorized toilet?

Strangely enough, you couldn't get a DWI in Texas riding that thing. The statute says that the engine has to have a displacement of 50cc or greater. The most you'd get is P.I.......but there's no jail time (other than sleeping it off) and you don't lose your driver's license or get your insurance rates jacked up. We actually had a local drunk that we arrested off of his riding lawn mower on the way to the store (he was in no condition to walk) and another guy we used to arrest off of his horse when he got liquored-up (we had an officer that would ride it back to his house and put it in the barn).
Never demand that which you are incapable of taking by force, DUmmie.

And here I thought that Mayberry was in North Carolina, not Texas.

Hmmmm...sounds like I need to drop an application with TXU or South Texas Project.

Hey Florida - I think one got away!
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
