Another manic Monday...
« on: March 30, 2009, 06:46:46 AM »
And more clouds outside, this time accompanied by wind.  :banghead:

Last week of school/work before Spring break at least, though.

Taking my daughter to test for her license today.  Hope she passes the parallel parking bit!

Baseball practice tonight.

28 degrees this morning, wth?   Oh well, at least we missed the snow that the southern and northern parts of Illinois got over the weekend.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. Cold here as well.  At least the bulk of the stupid snow melted off yesterday. :p

I have to drop off the Mancub's cub scout paperwork today.  He wan't to go to summer camp. :)

Hell, I want to go to summer camp right now. :(

42 and cloudy with intermittent rain.  Going to work in a couple of hours.  No booze until next week.

That is all.

The sun is finally out after weird weekend of weather...Saturday was cloudy, rainy, then the sun came out and went up to 72!

Then the weather hit and it was 42 yesterday, extremely windy, cloudy and intermittent sprinkles that I swear some had snowflakes in it.....I was out plant/flower shopping for about 4 hours....took me 6 hours to warm up!!!!

Sun's out and supposed to be 64 today....

Recipe for getting sick! :banghead:

Now I have a bunch of stuff to plant....and I'm inside working... :rotf:
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Today's been pretty tame so far.

Mrs. E was a little jealous that the pup likes to sleep on the floor next to my side of the bed. (It's her puppy.) We switched sides last night and the pup wound up on sleeping on her side.

Crisis averted.

Aren't you a sweetheart!  I don't do that other side thing well, I'm pretty set in my ways when it comes to my side of the bed :)  lol

Trust me, I wasn't keen on the idea but rather than invite disaster, I agreed to switching sides. Hell, I've slept in worse situations.

today was blah... and WILL be blah, as I have to go to work.  I got advised for the next two semesters (having to retake some courses, to improve my GPA, which is fine by me, personally)... I'm having to take out a loan to finish school.  I did find out I am eligible, so we'll see how that goes.  I might have to borrow money from family for the next semester, since the financial aid might not be available until later in the fall (after the deadlines for payment have passed :(), but Spring, I'll get the loans on schedule.

Right now, I'm snacking on a Cadbury Egg.  I eat them as I would an Oreo... FILLING FIRST!  :lmao: :-)

Drove down to Athens (TN) Saturday for particular rose bushes...and we had to pass the Russell Stover outlet.

Heading back to the interstate....we had to visit the Russell Stover outlet.

Gave new meaning to "kid in a candy store"! They had every chocolate egg they make...boxes of them. Did you know they make a fudge brownie egg?

They also had 3 POUND boxes of what they call "bloopers"....those that don't pass quality control....for $1.99.  :-)

Leftover sloppy joes at work.  Damn you.  Damn you all to hell.  And if you think I'm grumpy now, just wait until I've been without beer for a week.

that's what we had last night  .....life is short...have dessert for dinner, because pretty soon if Congress gets it's way, it is going to start allocating how many calories from sugar/fat we can have a day. :censored:

I don't really like chocolate that much!  Except for the occasional dark chocolate square or something.  Prefer chewy!  lol  Ate a whole box of mike & ike a couple weeks ago   :p   does not bode well for my morbid obesity.
