Self-Cleaning Oven Vs. Earth Hour
« on: March 28, 2009, 08:02:40 PM »
If you have a self-cleaning oven, this "earth hour" is a good time to use it.  I have an electric oven....800 degrees for three hours and it's clean as my police record.

Com'on, folks, fire up that e-lec-tric-ity!!!

I used my electric carving knife on a 3 pound roast.

I'm running a space heater and later we are blendering up milkshakes.

I'm stuck at work.  I'll have to make up for it when I get home.

Me too, and the driveway floodlight (once I had a small plane land on my driveway by mistake).

It will be sooo nice to not have to listen to this sh*t at work next week.  Every day more posters were put up.  Wonder how many trees they killed with so many by the end of the week.  Then they started sending out company-wide emails reminding us to turn off lights in the office before we left.  Of course the office brown-noser hit "reply all" and was just ooooozing about what a great idea it was.   :whatever:  I acutally thought about staying late and turning everyone's desk lamps on.   :evillaugh: ...nah, not worth the effort.

My boss turned the lights off.  Never mind that there are dozens of servers, monitors, and network equipment running right now.  :whatever:

Judging by the view out my window earlier this evening, Denton did a piss-poor job of observing Earth Hour.

Mention it tomorrow and watch their heads explode.  At least it'll make Monday bearable.

I feel saddened, to realize I missed out on Earth Hour  :thatsright:

I was too busy enjoying the rapturous central air, while watching a dvd on the home theatre system, and fiddling on the laptop.  All while running the dryer of course.  Sigh, maybe next year  :mental:
