That's some tasty looking fare.  What kind of animal did you kill and burn?

That was a 3 pound beef tenderloin I got a while back when they were on sale, steamed snap peas, steamed broccoli, sour cream and chive potatos, all grain and pumpernickle breads. And some wasabi horseradish for the roast beast.

Drinking some vanilla hazlenut coffee for afters. Happy tums. :)

I've been doing homework all day!  Lame, but I'm making some headway on a project.

Glad I'm not the only one. Only have about 30 pages of notes left to type.

And I've been trying to find someone to help me with a photography project. That's been a real blast... :whatever:

We are on provisional standby tonight in case they have to shut the interstate down due to the now 12 inches of snow they are expecting south of here. :p

If they pull the trigger I get to take the 4x4 and try to get to the interstate 14 miles south of here and wait for a state police suburban or a Nat. Guard hummer to come pick me up and ferrry me the rest of the way.

I hope to hell they just keep up with the plowing this time.  Last time the I90 corridor got snowbound there were over 4,000 people caught when they shut the thing down. A good chunk of them were stranded in snowbound cars till things got cleared off.  Could be a fun night here. :D

I like it, but the friend I was going to use as a model got sick, so she can't do it. So now the mad scramble to find someone else.

I know a couple girls that might do it, but you will need a wide angle lens.  :rotf: :rotf:

No, no, no!!! Bad mental image. Plus, they have to be suitable for public display. They're going to be critiqued in class.

That was last project. I ended up doing a table/sculpture at a garden on campus.

This next one is portraiture. Sucks, cause I'm not much of a people person.

Home from work, but won't be online long.  They had me close, yet I come in early tomorrow morning,  that sucks. :(

Savannah got slammed hard by a storm I didn't even know was headed this way.   :o   The lightning was the kind that lit up the whole sky in a flash, looking rather like God was taking pics of us or something. :p

And don't get me started on the thunder...made me want to crawl somewhere and hide. :(

Wow.  You guys got slammed.  We had a pretty bad storm come through very fast.  It's over Knoxville right now -- probably won't be anything left of it by the time it gets over there.

Do the portraits have to be live people?  Find a nice marble statue somewhere.

Man, that stinks.  I'd have the same problem.  Drop by BEG's house and see if she'll volunteer. :-)

I got invited to a local Z Car Club meet for next Saturday.

Yes, it has to be a live person.

I used to do photography until my eyes got so bad I had to quit.  I invested in a neat 500-watt diffuser and a reflective umbrella for still-lifes.  I still like it, but I need a good 50mm for my digital camera.

See if you can find any instructional books by Galen Rowell.  I think his studio goes by the name Mountain Light.  My favorite works of his are the long-exposure (2+ minutes) of night scenes using an ISO 64 or slower film.  He used some verrrrry slow film.

Ah, imagine my surprise when just as I fall asleep, I hear the, "Urrrrrp...urrrrp....UUUURRRRRPPPPPPP!!!" of the dog.

Fortunately, the volume and toxicity wasn't too bad, but now I can't get back to sleep.  Just my freakin luck.
