Anyone in Management here?
« on: March 27, 2009, 03:09:37 PM »
I am having a horrible day at work and just lost my temper on an employee....He deserved it of course... (for real)...but I hate that I allow myself to get so fired up still.
I've been in this position for 8 years now and I supervise about 50 employees.  It's a clinical setting so it can be stressful...However; why do certain people feel they need to "test" their boss?  :banghead:

Anyway, just venting...Sometimes I wish I was a staff employee, come in, do a day's work, and go home.  :(

My wife is on the verge of a nervous breakdown some days dealing with her job as a director at a clinical research facility. Medical PHD's are freaking primadonna schoolgirls. I'm not sure what you are dealing with.

If it was easy though, anyone could do it. :)

Yes, the physicians are the most difficult to deal with.  I work with both physicians, nurses and ancillary staff.  Working with patients was much easier and more rewarding.
Although this position is much more challenging...but hey I wanted a challenge..and I got one.  :uhsure: :whatever: :mental: :thatsright:

I work with physicians and nurses, also...but probably have it better than you.  They're generally very nice to the person who can fix whatever they just broke.   :-)  Of course, the few times they aren't, I have to struggle to avoid saying something like, "Well, don't do that next time!! ::)"   :lmao:
