Congrats on the baby! and you are here within the first week of active posting.  As far as picking a candidate you summed up everybody's problem for the most part.  Although being originally from Mass I don't have too many reservations re Mitt other then his name.

So for real, Mitt's ok?

I wouldn't have any problem voting for him, although Fred would be the #1 choice if he would just start campaigning, I agree with your disappointment.  I think most conservatives don't trust him being from Mass (can you say Dukakis?) but the things he did in office were the things leaders do (IMO).  Imagine being a Republican and having to deal with the Mass senate every time you wanted to do something *shudder*.

Anyway the field will narrow over the next 2-3 months and I predict we'll be left with Mitt or Fred.

Congrats on the new baby.  I know she will bring you many years of....why am I lying?  Kids always grow up and kick you in the slats.  Oh, they're adorable at first, yeah.  But then they start forming opinions....it's all downhill from there.
