It was not a loophole, it was put in to do just what it did.

And according to Dodd it was put in at the insistence of the treasury department.

Those whom the gods would destroy, they first make proud.  And in just under 2 months, they've tanked worse than any administration in recent history.

Prediction....

It is only a matter of time before they try to blame "career" employees (Bush holdovers) for pushing Dodd into writing the loophole in.

Which will fly until it's revealed that the vast majority of the "holdover" employees are from the Carter and Clinton era.

I'm wondering if Geithner will last through the weekend. Fall time.

I "do not" want Geithner to resign or get fired.

I want him to keep doing what he is doing, phucking up the economy, because it will lead to the voters reversing during the 2010 elections, which will be the majority party.

2012 will see obama being escorted out of the white house because he is far more incompetent than many dems and libs are willing to admit.

Not to worry, The Obama Admin. "economic" plans are designed to fail. It is designed so that it CANNOT BE SUCCESSFUL. Indeed, the two things that would restore some minimum confidence, and REDUCE by BILLIONS the money needed in the banking mess remain not done, and neither has been done, these are addressing mark to market and the uptick rule.

Dodd is full of shit. The Bill was written to exclude bonuses.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

He was told in a Congressional appearance on 3/3/9 and denied any knowledge.  Caught on C-SPAN.

He lies worse than his boss.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.
