Thursday.
« on: March 19, 2009, 07:30:23 AM »
Mid 40's and some sun today. Whee!

Going out to dinner with my lady tonight, which is cool.

I think I am going to organize my work area in the basement today and get all the unpainted stuff that need work between now and Gencon in august hauled out and lined up.  I have to paint around 40 minitures and a ton of resin scenery pieces. And at least a third of the miniatures are conversions so they need cutting, things glued on, etc.  One of the events we are running this fall is going to be a Terminator game, so I have about 20 termintaor robots alone that need paint on them.

I hauled the bag of good Mocha Limu coffee out of the freezer this morning and made myself an indulgance pot.

Cloudy again today.  :banghead:  High of 50

May or may not have baseball practice tonight...depends on the weather, I guess.

Cloudy--intermittent showers.  Cold and windy.  Pretty much matches my mood this morning.

Today, tomorrow, then a week off.  3:30 PM tomorrow can't come fast enough.

Can't tell.  Still have two feet of snow piled up in the yard.  But it's melting--slowly.

About 51 degrees right now, and it is supposed to reach 71 by this afternoon  :cheersmate: Unfortunately, I'll be in the office and will probably miss most of the nice day :(  It is supposed to rain again this weekend.

We've had "low" temperatures skirting the freezing point, 32 degrees (30 degrees, 28 degrees, 31 degrees, and somesuch), and rain "scheduled" for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.  Daytime temperatures in the 60s the past couple of weeks.

The William Rivers Pitt, because antique swine manure is ostensibly "warmer" than plain ordinary soil, has been bursting forth in green for about three weeks now, mostly incipient catnip and tomato plants.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Well I'll only get to go outside on my breaks and when I go to the bank and such today.

If I didn't work today I'd be at home on the sofa, so either way it's not like I would do anything outside.  LOL!

Oh that book is soooooo good!

I just found out why my AR overage is shit right now...VWOA is past due on money owed to us!  Bastards!  Once that's paid (and hopefully tomorrow) my overage goes down to 1% (it's not at 7.25%)!

Oh and I found out that another dealership in the area poached a big acct from our parts dept.  :(

Well, on the one hand I'm glad to know that's what's screwing up my overage percentage, cause everything looks good on my end.

And secondly, it's a big account we're losing.  They're a big collision center chain, and we're hopeful that the South Texas stores still buy from us (they like us, and tend to not listen to their corporate peeps much).

Oh and nasty old lady brought her toothless chihuahua to work today.   :whatever:
