How to take dates out of pictures?
« on: March 18, 2009, 04:52:36 PM »
Does anyone know how to take the date out of a picture?  I have a ton of pictures I wanted to get framed but they have dates stamped on the corners.   Cropping the date out would make the pictures less pretty too.

I thought you were referring to nasty breakups in which you liked the picture of yourself, but wanted your date edited out. In those cases I would recommend just using scissors. As for an actual date stamp, I have no clue.

Using a black magic marker might work, if the date stamp is on a black background, which it usually generally most of the time seems to be.

Tomorrow I will post a couple of the pictures so you can see why I need to remove it.  They are beautiful pictures but seriously marred by that stupid date stamp.

You might be able to cover it over with a photoshop trick but unless the pictures are in some layered format you may be stuck with the date stamp.

If you have photoshop, you can clone the background under the date stamp and "erase" it.

All the solutions I've seen involve cloning to cover it up.  I would suggest turning the "time and date" stamp off in the future.
