NUKU'ALOFA, Tonga —  An undersea volcano erupted off the coast of Tonga shooting clouds of smoke, steam and ash thousands of feet into the sky above the South Pacific ocean, officials said Wednesday.

Spectacular columns spewed out of the sea about 6 miles from the southwest coast off the main island of Tongatapu — an area where up to 36 undersea volcanoes are clustered, said Tonga's geological service head, Keleti Mafi.

"It's a very significant eruption, on quite a large scale," he told The Associated Press.

Expect Pelosi, Reid, et al. to begin blaming Bush for this in 4...3...2...1...  Followed by a bill to request a few $billion in additional "recovery" money.

If thats the one I think it is, it's got an awesome name.  Can't remember it but it's 4 words in all.

WTF?  Didn't Mother Nature get the memo from oBama that we all need to cut down on green house gases?  She is in for one hell of a fine.
