A Day At The Beach






Pretending to Fish



The "lake" is really a reservoir.  Mostly flooded farmland and scrub.  The "beaches" aren't very pretty. 

My right arm is more developed than my left.  I found myself paddling in counter-clockwise circles all day and had to keep correcting.  :p

Lots of ducks and geese.  I saw a beautiful blue heron.

Lots of waves from the shore.  Some guy was out walking his dogs.  They got so excited they both ran into the water.

He was not pleased.  :-)

I got a visit from the TWRA.  They were "checking for lifejackets".  I think they just wanted to stop and BS since my lifejacket is bright yellow.  I was surprised how warm it was.  It's still 50 degrees outside but lake-effect usually makes the weather about 10-15 degrees cooler in the general area.  You could always tell driving down Anderson Road when you got close to the lake -- you would feel the temperature drop very quickly.
