Air America Begins Syndication Division With ... Newsweek
« on: March 11, 2009, 04:00:32 PM »

Couldn't they have at least waited a week to make this announcement?

Liberal radio uber-failure Air America is branching out, expanding their tremendously successful business model to include syndication of outside programming.  And with whom are they beginning this new venture?

Why, Newsweek magazine, and their program Newsweek On Air.  Newsweek has been thusly broadcasting for twenty-seven years, has won "various awards and a place on so many station schedules" -- and I would venture that most of you have never heard of it.

A state of anonymity that will likely continue with their Air America partnership.

This announcement comes the same week Newsweek uses its cover and the accompanying story to bash Rush Limbaugh, the undisputed king of syndicated talk radio and someone who is diametrically opposed ideologically to the magazine's new syndication partner.

Dumb question but, don't these radio station failures need corporate money via commercials?
Why would corporate america fund radio show hosts that do nothing but bash them...and secondly, why would companies spend advertising money in a radio station with 5  listeners?

I wonder how many Err America listeners also listen to Coast to Coast with George Noory? He has some moonbat conspiracy theorists on at times.

I would venture that is probably why ERR American failed to begin with.

I listened to (Hot) Air America one time about 3-4 years ago, on xm radio.  Al Freakenpuss was on, I think.

Air America was a failure before the first watt was broadcast into the atmosphere....

Just like its hosts, it's too stupid to realize it's already dead....

Noory is fun to listen to (when you're roaring drunk), but the MASTER of Moonbat Conspiracy was always Art Bell.  Noory couldn't even hold a candle to King DingDong.

Art Bell kept me awake many a night driving home down the WV Turnpike.  Between him and Chuck Harder (For The People), there weren't 2 screwier hosts on the radio, until Air(head) America....

Even Gary Burbank was sane compared to any of the above....

I liked Airhead America when I lived in Columbus. (It's not in Cincy far as I know) It was like audio DU. Best comedy station ever!

The only bad part was you could only listen for maybe twenty minutes a day as no matter the host or topic they repeated the same jokes all day long.
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

I agree that he is fun to listen to, but some of his callers sound like they come straight from the 911 forums on Skin's Island.

I listened to it in 10 minute shots because that's about how long I can tolerate listening to retards tell stories.

I mean I seriously would have told Forrest Gump to shut the **** up and let me wait for my bus in peace and no I don't want a hug.

The first time I turned it on some loon was crying, literally crying and begging his audience that if he and his wife were ever found dead to not believe anything they heard and to assume they were murdered to shut them up.

That was my introduction to Mike Malloy. :whatever:

Oh God, George Noory is the worst.
Didn't they have a brief thread at the DUmp about lib talk radio?  Even those moonbats were saying that it's a failure, because it's boring.  And it is.  Just not good radio.  Recycled jokes and entire segments.  To put on good radio, you have to work HARD and be on the ball with fresh material.  That's too hard for a lefty.   Why do they keep trying to throw money at a failed business model?  Stupid.

I'm not invested, so I don't have a dog in this fight.  Let 'em fail once again.

Maybe this time, they'll take Newsweek down with them....

Good riddance to both....
