ROCHESTER — The 17-year-old victim of a gunshot wound and the 34-year-old woman accused of hiding the weapon afterward following a shooting inside Wal-Mart last week were arraigned in District Court Monday.
Cindy Byrnes, 34, of 27 Knight St. C, was arraigned on a felony charge of falsifying physical evidence for allegedly removing a black handgun from the floor in Wal-Mart last Tuesday in an attempt to conceal it from police who were investigating the shooting that had occurred moments earlier.
Byrnes saw her bail, which had been set at $10,000 cash following her arrest last Friday, convert to personal recognizance. She is required to undergo a mental health referral and will be monitored by Strafford County Community Corrections with a GPS and a strict curfew.
Byrnes could be also facing jail time for a previously suspended sentence on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and conspiracy to commit shoplifting.
OH, IT GETS MUCH WORSE...Very. Freakin. Bizzare. This happened the night I got back from the frozen tundra.
However, this is my favorite line:
Byrnes is ordered to have no contact with those related to the case aside from her child and is further ordered to have no entry into Wal-Mart.
I mean seriously--just how effed up do you have to be to get 86'ed from WALLY WORLD????
