...BUT...

...everytime the road gets repaved the height is diminished by several inches but the signs are never adjusted. Get a road that's old enough and you have a recipe for disaster.

So in reality, the sign is wrong, right?  I know most truck drivers know the exact height of their trucks.

True. It would have been more accurate if I had initially written: Many times the sign BEGINS with the correct info...

And true: And truckers are pretty good at knowing the height of their vehicles.

I am pretty sure that it is a railroad trestle. I am sure that the trains traveling over it do not weigh that much.  ::)

Every truck I've ever driven has the ride height on a plaque on the dashboard or printed in reverse on the trailer.  It's impossible to miss.
