Where is the real life Coal Miner?

Where is the real life Fireman?

Where is the real life Grocery Manager?

Where is the real life School Teacher?

Where is the real life Sub-contractor?

and why can't the media find them?

We can "dis" ole' Joe the non-Plumber all we want. We can point out what an idiot he is. We can demean the guys backward beliefs, his education, his economic ideas, and his idiotic "When I'm in the top 1% I want a tax-cut too" bullshit, BUT...

and it's a very important BUT IMHO....

We run the risk of again being defined as the "Party of elitist, who don't give a damn about the common 'Joe'".

You know that's bullshit. I know that's bullshit. The media probably also knows that's bullshit. But where is the common man that steps up to the plate and defends progressive ideas? It's great to have economist and folks with more degrees than you can shake a stick at, but our party is made up of more than that.

The problem with assuning the existence of a leftist Joe the Plumber is that it's a real trade.  If you screw up building a bridge, installing a electrical system, or installing plumbing people can get hurt and killed.  That alone tends to make those types think at least more conservatively.

That's true, just look at AngryCarpenter who is perennially out of work and the only downside he sees to that is a perennial shortage of cash. 

They could certainly find a moonbat schoolteacher.  Everybody else, probably not.   Requires too much personal responsibility.  Fireman?  Requires selfless courage.  Coalminer?  Requires very hard work.  Grocery Manager?  Requires getting up too early in the morning.

LMAO! I helped out one of my Buds once when he broke his wrist doing just that! Lord what a disgusting job that was!
