Amy Winehouse will be unable to perform at next month's Coachella Festival after American authorities turned down her visa request.

The singer was expected to make her return to the live stage at the event in the Californian desert in April.

However, US officials are said to have rejected her application after it emerged that she has been accused of attacking a fan.

Winehouse visited an undisclosed police station on Friday, following an incident at a ball in Berkeley Square in London last September.

A spokesman for the singer said today: "She is not appearing at Coachella this year in the light of current legal issues."

However, Amy is expected to perform at a special show to mark the 50th anniversary of Island Records in May.

She will take to the stage at the last of a series of concerts, playing London's Shepherds Bush Empire.

The gig, on May 31, will also feature Toots & The Maytals, while Paul Weller, Keane and Cat Stevens also due to appear across the six-night celebration.


Her US heroin dealer was seen crying uncontrollably at the news.

So would I. It's amazing that she looks so bad and is so young. That shows you what a hard, drugged life does to one. Can you imagine how bad she'd look if she ever lives to be as old as Joan Rivers? Now, that's really scary..  :-)

Then check out the link I posted... she does have talent, but its going to waste because of her dabbling in drugs and other indecent behavior.
