Shortened Sunday
« on: March 08, 2009, 07:51:54 AM »
Cool and light rain, 35 degrees.  Back to winter again, dammit.

No plans, no work, not going out for squat today.  Sitting on the couch with remote in one hand and scratching with the other.

Mostly recovering from the previous evening, as evidenced by my friends the Dubliners:

I woke up early because I can't breathe well. My sinuses are giving me fits. Plus, the bruise on my thigh really hurts. It's about the size of my palm and it's black as night.

I had planned to go to a Spring Training game today but now I'm not sure. I think staying indoors and resting would be the better way to go.

The Indians spring training facility opened out here, messes up traffic royally during a game.

I haven't been out there yet. I would love to see it though.

I may get to see Surprise Stadium in a couple of weeks. Some of the girls at the office are talking about going to a game out there. I would be forced to watch the dreaded Dodgers. Yuck!

I was supposed to go see the D-backs play at the Peoria Sports Complex today, but I've pretty much decided against it now because of my allergies.

It's a cold, rainy, gloomy outside Sunday.

I'm about to pick up my 5 year old niece, and head out to a 'Bounce House'.

Than picking up some sheets of glass and acrylic, for a bit of a DIY home project.

We forgot to set the clocks back last night.... :thatsright:....though it's not my job to control the alarm clock and didn't make it to 7:30 Mass.

We went at 9 instead and it's the "rock Mass"...I think it's kind of fun once in a while...but M was an altar boy and went to St Xavier's in Cincy run by the Jesuits and he has a real problem with it....just cause I wiggle a bit.... :lmao:. Told me this morning it was Lent and I needed some piety! I snickered....

Bee-u-ti-ful day in the neighborhood....supposed to get up to 75! Hitting Lowe's later on.....they have yellow knock out rose bushes. A friend has a couple of red ones....those suckers got about 5'x7' big after only 1 year in the ground!!! No maintenance except to give them a little rose food and they come back every year....hopefully the deer kids won't like munching on them.....
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

I want my hour back!!! Grrr.....

At least it's 68 degrees and going up today....

I feel like a bear waking up from it's long winter nap. I probably look like one too since I haven't bothered to check a mirror yet :-) Still working on my coffee.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Pouring down rain.

Wisconsin in the springtime.

I drove over an hour last night (Early this morning) doing 40 miles an hour through fog out of an English horror movie.

I may take the cowards way out and go get some Choaky Chicken from the next town over for dinner tonight.

I am exhausted. I came home last night in the wee hours totally ready to go to sleep and got Tigger Pounced.  :naughty:  So I was up till 7 am trying to get to sleep. And eating a PBJ english muffin or two.  Finally fell asleep watching Jericho in the living room.

And I have a mild jello shot hangover.

It was a pretty cool night last night.  :-)

Well I'm at the stupid real estate office....and the agent that's supposed to be here isn't.  He couldn't get a babysitter or something.   :whatever:

So I'm just hoping that no one walks in during the next hour.  The next agent is supposed to be here at 2.

I may head over and hang out with friends after I get off.  I think they're going to grill out.   :hyper:

I'm at work today.  Yawn.  Hopefully it will be a slow day here.  I was anticipating the time change, so I crashed early last night and missed whatever passes for fun here on a Saturday night.

:bolt:

It certainly does for this particular D-backs fan.
