i know that i post here to belong to a community. unfortunately it is a family with many idiot cousins and blow hard uncles.

from what i know about you, you are the kind of person who finds nastiness hard to take. i have had some times in my life when i felt that i had no skin. that the meat of me was exposed to scrapes and jabs, and that i could do nothing about that. that kind of feeling led me to stay away from my real family for a long time now. i suspect you know just what that feels like.

i think the really painful part comes at the place where the need for a tribe intersects with the cruel and unthinking behavior of some members of that tribe. it is always a trade off, and you can always add that up, and walk away.

ignore is your friend. i have never had that many people on my ignore list, but during the primaries, i was adding to it daily. i just couldn't take it, and couldn't help jumping in to support my guy. we all are better off if we don't feel like we have to fight every fight. seek out the places where there is more of what you need.

     I'm sure they're just referring to the slightest hint of critcism of the lightweight asshole in the White House. You know, the one who gives a box of DVDs to the leader of our best friend in the world. What a low-class sack of pigshit Obama is...I wonder if he offered the guy a pack of smokes, too?

That's true.  Like most primitives, she likes to dish it out and expects others just to sit there and quietly take it.  IOW, in the real world where people don't conduct their lives the way she believes they should, she calls that being "nasty."

Yes, Banned, they're talking about that inappropriate gift on other sites as well.  Everybody else is embarassed, too, especially in light of the gifts HE got.  I laughed at your pack of smokes.  

Have you ever gotten the feeling that someone has "regifted" you?

I am sure those movies included BRAVEHEART, THE PATRIOT ...etc. Probably just forgot to get a gift and grabbed them from the White House movie library
