oh. I was assuming that the streets of atlantis were made by atlantans.
Why would people from Georgia build streets that far out in the Atlantic?
It's about 400 miles northwest (about 10 O'Clock) from La Palma (Canary Islands), 3 miles under the ocean's surface.
times were tough. they bussed, er boated them in for the construction.(what else ya gonna call residents of atlantis? "atlantisans" sounds like you're missing something called your "atlanti")
A while back, there were some odd formations found in the Bahamas. Some looked like roads, some like hand-carved structures. They were all eventually shown to be natural formations, however. There was also some "pyramid" or something found near Japan, I think, that has also been shown to be natural.A photograph taken from hundreds of miles above the surface of the Earth will not convince me. Find some man-made artifacts down there and I will be more open-minded. Find something written that conclusively says "This place is Atlantis" and I will be convinced.
The devil told them to when he went down there.
OTOH, an aerial photo of the DFW freeway system looks completely random and without order. Go figure.
never mind.
There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
I thought he was just looking for a soul to steal.
If you lived there, you would be a "Hotlantan".Hey, where's that picture you promised me?
nature is known to dislike putting so many right angles in one place. it was either man made, or it's a fluke on a gigantic scale.or maybe the whales were going condo during the real estate boom, and abandoned it when their capital dried up.
*crickets chirping*
Wouldn't those lines be all over the ocean then?
hey, I hope it is atlantis. I wanna see them play baseball underwater.
I don't buy it...I think nature is capable of doing many things....Check out these Crop Circles....perfect circles found around the world in large open fields, lots in the UK. Some say it's formed by aliens..but I say it's a natural occurence.
Maybe crop circles and this new find are caused by magnetic fields deep beneath the earth's crust.
In 1991, two men from Southampton, England announced that they had conceived the idea as a prank at a pub near Winchester, Hampshire during an evening in 1976. Inspired by the 1966 Tully Saucer Nests,[18] Doug Bower and Dave Chorley made their crop circles using planks, rope, hats and wire as their only tools: using a four-foot-long plank attached to a rope, they easily created circles eight feet in diameter. The two men were able to make a 40-foot (12 m) circle in 15 minutes. The pair became frustrated when their work did not receive significant publicity, so in 1981 they created a circle in Matterley Bowl, a natural amphitheatre just outside Winchester, Hampshire – an area surrounded by roads from which a clear view of the field is available to drivers passing by. Their designs were at first simple circles. When newspapers claimed that the circles could easily be explained by natural phenomena, Bower and Chorley made more complex patterns. A simple wire with a loop, hanging down from a cap – the loop positioned over one eye – could be used to focus on a landmark to aid in the creation of straight lines. Later designs of crop circles became increasingly complicated
Since the height of the last ice age the seas have come up, about 350 vertical feet, so, 12,000 years, anything up to 300 ft. down COULD be man made. 15,000 ft down man's not the author. Can't say what it IS, burt feel comfortable it is not "ours".
Not possible. If that were possible we would have already seen one of these; KC
