Well, as chief cook and bottle washer in the Flame household, I ask for suggestions for dinner early in the day sometimes, or plan it myself early in the morning. Stuff needs to be thawed, etc, and waiting till the last minute tends to lead to doing "fast food" or calling for pizza.
Actually, its tough here, because everyone easts at staggered times...ex: today, my older son ate right when he got home from school (he tends to not eat lunch ,and is starving)...my daughter ate at 3:35, because she had to leave for dance at 4:15, and won't be home until almost 9...my younger son ate at 5:30, 'cause that's when he got hungry, and Mr Flame and I ate at 6:30, when he got home from work. We all had the same thing, as it was prepared, on the stove, waiting for whoever needed to eat. But in order for it to be ready, I started preparing at 11:45 am. The trouble is coming up with things that "keep" that long, while waiting to be eaten.
