We have a new principal who has mandated that when we send out progress reports, if a child has a D or F we must call home.

So, I have this student who has had a bad couple of weeks and has a D

so, I yesterday I called home...


last night his muther trucker of a step dad beat him so severely, he is in the hospital

the other two children were removed from school by authorities today.

I also had one of the other students as well.

She was terrified all day



HOW can people do that to kids and how can that POS mom stand by and watch someone do that to her own flesh and blood???

You'd think a young boy getting beat into the ICU for a poor grade, by his stepfather, would be on the local news section, on the website below, in such small metropolitan area like Wichita. But, apparently I'm wrong.

I came home and hugged my 17 year old and told her how much I loved her and appreciated her
   

She is probably looking to rationalize why she was called out for having such poor classroom performance and hoped to make the thing about how tough it is to teach and what a terrible thing No child left behind is....etc.

After the outrage on the thread quiets down see if she doesn`t try that angle yet.

I vote plausible.  You hear almost daily about some stupid inbred piece of shit killing a kid for wetting the bed, spilling milk, or crying.  Beating the shit out of a kid because you had to answer the phone call from school is not a big stretch.

I would vote plausible also...but note that there is not only no mention in the Wichita paper, there is no mention in any Kansas paper I've checked.  I'll give it another 24 hours before I call bouncy on it.

I come from that part of the country, Council Grove, KS to be exact! This would be front page news in every small town newspaper border to border! I've checked my home town news and there is no mentiopn of this. I guaran damn tee ya, there wouyld have been mention!

Sure we beat our kids when they need it but rarely for something as trivial as getting a frikkin' "D" for schoolwork!

More than likely she is just trying to be "self appointed important'!

I can't believe nobody in that thread even calls her on it.  I Googled a bunch of news in and around Wichita, KS... a headline on one of the TV stations was "Man arrested for theft of $1,000 in nickels".  You would think a child being beaten and hospitalized over something like homework would make the evening news.

Oh such dramatics. *IF* and that's a big if this is true, then perhaps in some ways it was for a good purpose greenbrier. The other two children were removed and this boy, if not severly hurt, will be ok. Mom will be forced to make a choice now to get the children back. If she chooses the guy, then the kids will hopefully be in a better situation with someone else. I know this is a tough call for you DUmmies, but look on the bright side. And stop taking everything so GD personally! There may have been something else going on at home that got the pos stepfather all riled up. IMO, people like this could give a shit less if there kids do well in school or not. Your call was a minor inconvenience and with some dipshits is met with high 5's for being a rebel(you've seen the my kid beat your honor student up sticker) :whatever: Either way, what goes on in that home has now been revealed. This may actually end up being a good thing for the children in the long run.

I noticed she's going to bottom out on C's from now on, thereby causing her to never have to make such a call again.  Clearly abdicating responsibility and not doing her job.  So, a kid turns in a test that he's just wrote "F*** You!" on, this is going to get a C?  The same C that another kid got for doing fair-to-middling honest work? 

This lady is not fit to teach, she should be fired.  She should get a new job cleaning toilets.

Wonder what would happen if someone from that area took these posts to some spunky investigative reporter looking to make a name for herself, for that Pulitzer story. How many middle schools can there be in that town? It would be lovely to see her exposed as a liar and a fraud. She can then as "respected" as the plagerizing primitive, Wee Willy, and TiT. Even DU has their limits...surprisingly enough.

Are we very sure that she lives in Wichita?  Cause I sent this to KWCH in Wichita.  I asked for them to let me know if they find anything out about it if they do end up investigating.
