What songs are on your iPod?
« on: February 12, 2009, 02:59:30 PM »
I finally joined the rest of the civilized world this week and purchased an iPod to take with me on my runs.

I'm loving it! And I'm having a blast finding songs in iTunes.

It got me wondering what all of the CC peeps have on their iPods/mp3 players. So?

I love my Blue Oyster Cult greatest hits cd, and James Taylor's greatest hits volume 1.  Genesis' "Turn it on Again" is high on my list :)  Coldplay's Viva La Vida is excellent.  Best of the Doors, Johnny Cash's American Man cd series, Walking into Clarksdale by Page & Plant.  The list is endless....  :)  I hope you enjoy your new 'pod!!

You'll never catch me owning anything with the (Cr)Apple logo on it.  That includes an I-pod.

That being said, I have a 2GB micro-SD serving as primary RAM in my phone.  About 1.3GB of that is music I've uploaded from my PC.

I bought that one! I love it.

I'm trying to think of some of the tunes I've downloaded so far. I was looking for things with good beats to keep me moving.

Human--The Killers
Hot N Cold--Katy Perry
Paralyzer--Finger Eleven
Gotta Be Somebody--Nickelback
Dead Man (Carry Me)--Jars of Clay
How Far We've Come--Matchbox Twenty

What kind of music do you like to listen to?

I wish I had more upbeat song suggestions for ya!  I'm not that much into the pop music scene.  Except for Justin Timberlake that is   :-)  hehe  That's kinda my guilty pleasure.

Everything from Garth Brooks, to Jim Croce, to Righteous Brothers, to Andrew Lloyd Weber, to Def Leppard.

You won't find any (c)rap in my music library, unless it was EARLY DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, or Sir Mixalot (I grew up not far from the parts of Everett WA he sings about, and I've seen my share of Bremalows).

I can't imagine what I did for music before the iPod. I have a Nano, and it's filled with everything from the Allman Brothers to ZZ top. Mostly Blues and classic rock, lots of Buffett, some country, etc. I fill it with stuff I'd never hear on the radio.

All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.

God alone suffices.

That's usually the best stuff, in my opinion :)

I'm still in the stone age then, no Ipod or any music thing for me, except my phone.

Wow! I thought I was the last remaining soul on the planet to not own one of these. Who knew?  :-)

And I have no plans on buying one - or anything like it - in the future.

I'm purely okay with my CD player at home and in the car. Got satellite radio at home too, which is almost as good.

I can' say, I don't own one, or, as a matter of fact, a cell phone. I hate both.

Well, that's nice too!

The only reason I finally bought one is because I'll use it for my runs. I know I'll get my money's worth out of it.

Up until then, I didn't want the expense. My Sony Walkman worked just fine for some tunes.

Yeah, just wait til it breaks and nobody can fix it.
Did you read the "reviews" of those things?
