what, no Wednesday thread?
« on: February 11, 2009, 02:25:45 PM »
Sunny and warm in the Sandhills of Nebraska today; the snow's all gone, and the mud's drying up.

All of the cats are romping outdoors, for the first time since the last week of November.

Big snow on the way for Friday, though.

But that's okay; it's still February, and we needed a break, and got it.

I'm having a much better day than I did yesterday.  I had an exam and a presentation in my econ class this morning (we got a 95 on the presentation, I don't know about the exam yet).  I have an exam in my accounting class tomorrow, so I have a lot of homework I have to finish up tonight.  :(  You'd think I'd learn to not put it all off until the last minute.   :whatever:

Anywho, so I did my taxes on Sunday, and I decided last night that I'm going to purchase a new fridge with part of the refund.  The one I have was my dad's wife's and it's at least 15 years old and is making this "CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK" when the compressor shuts off.  So, I figure now is the time to replace it.  :)

Alright, one exam down, one to go.  A & P II exam is done.   :cheersmate:  Physics exam (otherwise known as my DOOM!) is tomorrow.   :(

I got the cutest card (and some Ghirardelli chocolates) from my mom, and I sent off a cute one of my own to her.  It pokes fun at all the other Valentine's Day cards with their cliche phrases and such, and I know it would make her laugh.  :)

I'm glad today was a better day than yesterday.  I'm doing laundry (like what's new) and tomorrow after my doctor appointment with the ENT (for my tinnitus) I'm driving to Tulsa to visit a friend.  I'm going to ride with her to AR to take her daughter to a competition.

I'm not doing my taxes until the last minute.  I know that we are going to owe and I want to stay ignorant for a few more weeks.  Lucky  :whatever: for us, this year K isn't going to get a bonus or a merit raise (just cost of living raise) so maybe next year we wont owe any taxes.  Then I'm sure they will raise our taxes and it wont matter how much he makes, we will owe again.  That is unless he loses his job, then we wont have to worry about taxes.

Hey, I'm right there with you. Been busting bum on a presentation all day today and I still have a paper due tomorrow :thatsright: IN the midst of it all, I feel like crap. Finally caught the youngest's crud. ugh :thatsright:! Good luck on your exam.

Lazy day today...started feeling punkish this afternoon, and I'm hoping I'm not getting sick.   Weather was gorgeous today...went for walk with Mr Flame this morning before he left for work, had the back door open most of the afternoon, with the cats going in and out.

Filed taxes this afternoon...getting a refund, which should pay for my daughters dance trip this spring, so that's a good thing.

Nothing else happening here in WV.

The problem with LG's is that nobody outside of Korea can fix them when they break.

I have a few friends with LGs and they've never had a problem with them.

I am having a truly craptastic day.

I woke up and started coughing from all the sinus stuff backed up into my cerebral cortex and before the nose meds and such kicked in I coughed so hard I pulled out muscles in the side of my neck.  Or aggravated an old herniated disk, not sure which.  I slept for a couple of hours and then had to drive 80 miles round trip to pick up an instructors manual for a class I am supposed to be teaching tomorrow night and then had to haul the kid into his allergy shot appointment after school.

I took a muscle relaxant and a percocet when I got home a while ago, so the neck feels a tad better. Psuedophed seems to be keeping the nasal passages better cleared as well. This sucks.  I feel like I'm about 80 years old right now.

Buy it from Sears. They will match price. They have better service/ protection agreements

Had a wicked storm come through this afternoon on top of winds all day.....big big pine tree fell in the front yard....another 15-20 over and I would have lost my living room! We had straight line winds come through.

Scared the shit out of me and the cats!!! One's been in hiding ever since. M was in Chattanooga when it happened, then the power went out, then the rains came. I kept hearing trees snap in the woods around me....another one fell - I heard it....but I don't know where. Somewhere in the back I think.

At least it wasn't thundering too...or I'd be looking for a padded room.  :o
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Do I just walk in with the print out for it and they'll match the price?  Sears has it listed for $1400.

yes, the print out helps a  lot. Otherwise, they'll have to look it up on the internet.

Wow, hope everythings okay.  Do you have power yet?  At least you have firewood for later.  It rained pretty hard here for an hour or so this afternoon.

Been busy as shite here today.  I think things are finally starting to calm down.

Yay for post-studying boredom.  I've been messing around with the street-view feature on GoogleMaps and found my house....along with my car.  How nice, Google is spying on my family.  :asssmack:
