Did you vote?
« on: February 05, 2008, 05:32:19 PM »
Topic of the evening:  Did you vote today (assuming you are in a Super Tuesday state)?

I did.  Had to wait about 30 mins.  Only one political sign outside the polling place...Ronulan, and only one "campaigner"...Ronulan of course.  Poor kid.  No one would talk to him...most just walked by shaking their heads.  He was standing out there with his feet just past the 100' limit with a handfull of brochures.   :mental:

edit:  couldn't decide if this should be in GD or Politics.

Romney.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

I'm in a Super Tuesday state but did early voting last Friday.  I had to stand in line for about an hour and a half.

Yes, I voted and only had to wait about a minute and a half.

I've got no problem with leaving it in GD.

But I didn't vote.  One, I'm a Michigander, and two, by the time I figured out who I wanted to support, the primary was to close for me to do an absentee ballot.

Florida's primary was last Tuesday, but I voted for Romney.  I considered voting for Thompson anyway, but then I woke up and decided I couldn't let McCain win FL (which he did anyway :banghead: )

Women and children are precious resources to be protected at all costs.  Men are expendable commodities whose function is to protect those resources, at all costs.

So how does it feel to know that someone's kid in the heart of america has blood on their hands to defend your rights so you can maintain a lifestyle that insults his family's existence?
