Interior residents notice an invasion of ptarmigan this winter

FAIRBANKS — Nobody knows why, but Fairbanks residents are seeing an influx of ptarmigan in town this winter.

“I see them all the time; they’re everywhere,” naturalist Mike Taras said of the snow-white birds that are usually found in the hills around town rather than in town.

“Just driving along in the truck you can see their tracks and trails all over the side of the road,” said Taras, an education and outreach specialist for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game in Fairbanks.

Fairbanks has many ptarmigans. The Easter Bunny and Bugs Bunny should reconsider their war. In fact, this is the divine plan that God has in store, ptarmigans build up their army to fight and crush the bunnies. Their Days are coming and God will wipe them out.

And how do we know that all of those Ptarmigans are legal, huh Ptarmy?  How many of those Ptarmigans have snuck across the border, and are here illegally, undermining the economy of this great nation.  How are we to know that Ptarmigans don't have the equivilent of an 'Aztlan' movement underway?

These ptarmigans are legal and live in Alaska. They chose Fairbanks to hide, so if rabbits come and kill ptarmigans, humans will defend them and kill the sodomite bunnies.

I greatly fear for the integrity of our borders with this silent attack of foreign birds.

Time to break out the big artillery, including flame-throwers.

Our borders must NOT be overrun by foreign birdies!

I agree! Bunnies must be killed off. I await when God lobs asteroids to get bunnies.

I've never had it, but there are recipes for roasted, grilled or fried ptarmigan.

Ptarmigan meat tastes like metal, so I would not eat if I was you. The bunnies have developed cadmium poisoning from eating too many ptarmigans in their diet. God's punishment on bunnies right there because God hates bunnies. Leviticus 11:6.
