Bush-era energy drilling leases in Utah canceled
« on: February 04, 2009, 02:49:12 PM »

"In its first action to overturn Bush administration policies on energy, the Obama administration on Wednesday said it will cancel oil drilling leases on 100,000 acres near two national parks and other protected areas in Utah.

"I have directed (the department's) Bureau of Land Management not to accept the bids," Interior Secretary Ken Salazar told reporters.

The department will $6 million in bids on the contested parcels of land and will reassess the decision to open the lands to energy exploration, he said."Satan worshippers (um it's MSNBC)

We can now lay the inevitable rise in oil prices (and inflation) at the feet of the fuhrer's handlers.

Soros' decision here will be one the fuhrer will regret.

U bet, Free.  Paople take gas prices VERY personally.  Often it is personal.  Where I live is rather economically depressed.  When gas went up to $4, people had to decide whether to eat or drive.  But, you have to drive to work, so there you go.

$5 a gallon gas here we come......the communist utopia can't be far behind.

But, but, but...I thought only GOVERNMENT could give us jobs and get us out of this messofaneconomy we are in.  He is the double O.  Mr Double Standard, Mr. Talk outta both sides of my mouth.

"Only Government can get us out of this crisis!"

The one legitimate thing that has been done to employ industry and give people jobs in this economy and he is going to throw it out.  But, hey, let's give Hollywood millions of dollars in that "stimulus" bill in tax write offs for their contribution to the One's campaign and let them write off half of production costs.  Cause...yeah....that will stimulate jobs.  bloody hell... :banghead:

Okay so they threw that part of the bill out the MINUTE it was discovered but it was in there to begin with because they really think that the damn bill isn't going to be dissected.

The gas price increase will make his administration complete...he will now be able to emulate Carter even more than before.  Dick Morris was on Hannity today and was laughing at this who situation saying that the Dems are just digging that hole deeper and deeper.

The bad thing is that we know 0bama isn't done yet. Wait until he makes his move on the coal industry.  A whole lot of electricity is generated using coal in this country, so look for electric rates to jump because of that or the stupid Cap and Trade on CO2.

A whole lot? Try about 52 percent from coal.

Obama, Pelosi and his fascists must be wetting their pants with excitement about what they've done in Utah.

But they're dumber than the rocks through which the wells would've been drilled if they delude themselves thinking they are doing anything other than setting up America for even worse failure, if not collapse.

Too, they do not see that what they are doing is racist, to use their term for everything--economically and regionally racist, in that for the half or more of America that doesn't have access to fancy-schmantzy public transportation, that has has long commutes, the price of gasoline and consumer goods, all driven higher by increased oil prices, are not something those folks take lightly.

This is as serious as it gets: As energy rich as America is, we're on track to die of thirst at the watering hole because we lack the political sense of ELECTED leaders -- just who are the horses' patoots that elected these fascists? -- to see that freedom is better than enslavement.

Perhaps all the terrorists have to do is wait this one out. Obama keeps going the way he is, and they won't have nearly as much work to do to destroy America.

From the article:

"We hope today's decision does not signal the administration is returning to the failed policies of the past, leaving much of America's vast energy resources locked up while the nation's demand for energy continues to grow," added Jack Gerard, president of the American Petroleum Institute.

I think it's a CLEAR signal from this obamanation that there will be NO DRILLING, MINING, BUILDING, EXPANDING, UPGRADING, OR EXPANSION of any of our energy infrastructure....

I hate these people.

Someone on another forum queried me on why I hated DUmmies so much.

I told them that it would take more emotional investment than DUmmies are worth - individually or collectively - to hate them.  I just disagree with every tenet or "principle" the cling to, and couldn't work up the "Give-a-Damn" necessary to go to the effort of pissing on them if they were on fire.

Truly, I must've missed hearing them say that. No matter, though: I wouldn't have believed them anyhow. Why? They never believed it.
